My take on Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof – Love Affair:
Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof – Love Affair comes in a black sharpenable pencil form. The toe of the pencil is color coordinated with the shade of the eyeliner for easier sorting from eyeliner stash. The cap closes tight but can go loose inside bag and break the soft tip, so be careful to keep a check while on the go. It is travel friendly.
Talking about the range, I will use a word, extended! Sephora came up with a wide range of bold shades and versatile finishes for Sephora Collection 12hr Wear Waterproof Contour Eye Pencil. There are 9 shades with Glitter finish; black, brown, grey, golden, green, blue, pink, purple…you think of the shade and Sephora has it. The Matte finish is comparatively limited with 4 shades including black, brown, grey and purple eyeliner. Then is the shimmer range with 12 shades and you can find every color, every shade there including beige and copper shade eyeliner.
The shade Love Affair is from the shimmer range and numbered 33 for reference along with a name. It is a deep blackened plum shades with prominent sheen finish. I really adore eyeliners which settle with sheen finish, as they enhance eyes and add a glam look to the overall makeup. All the shades in shimmer range carry sheen instead of shimmer particles. Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil Love Affair is nicely pigmented but not intense enough to deliver full color in one swipe. The shade is buildable to full color intensity and goes opaque in two swipes.
It has evenness and softness in texture, which makes it glide easily without tugging. It doesn’t irritate eyes. But the product description clearly states that they are for outer contouring; so I never tried them on waterline.
The staying power is impressive; Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil Love Affair stays for 10 hours with little lesser sheen over the hours but the black-plum liner is fully visible. It is free from Parabens.
