My Experience with It’s Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector:

I bought this product a few months ago mainly to treat my post-acne hyperpigmentation. I was searching for products and found that the ingredient “arbutin” was effective. Then, I searched for products with “arbutin” and found the series of effectors from the brand “It’s Skin.”

This WH effector contains arbutin and chamomile flower extract. It also contains licorice root extract though that is the last one mentioned in the ingredients list.

This product comes in a glass bottle which has been painted white. It’s difficult to see the amount of product remaining. There is a dropper attached to the cap and the end is slightly bent, which makes it easier to get the product out when it is very low.

I used this effector with a vitamin C product because I have heard that the combination makes both the products beneficial. I usually use one full dropper and it will be more than enough for my face and neck.

The product itself is colourless, clear and transparent. It is not very runny in texture though it is watery. It gets absorbed easily if applied directly after a toner. If used after vitamin C, it did take a while to absorb because the tackiness of the vitamin C reduces the absorption a bit. If used alone, it dries to a soft and silky finish. It could be due to the glycerine present in the product. I liked that aspect of the product.

What I do not like about this product is its fragrance! It has an artificial fragrance added to it, and it is so overpowering. I am very sensitive to smell, so I found it as a con. If you can tolerate it, and your skin is not sensitive, then there’s no issue.

I have been using this for the past 4 months almost regularly. I am almost at the bottom of the bottle now. I could use it for another month. So, the product will last me for 5 months approximately, and that is a good bargain for a seemingly small 30ml product. It worked as an addition in my skincare routine.

For the first month or so, I did not see any difference other than my scars becoming more prominent. Looking at it now, I could say that it must have been due to the surrounding skin becoming brighter. After nearly 3 months, I could definitely see it working. Also, for a normal skin turnover cycle, we need exactly the same amount of time and some scars do fade naturally in the same time.

But I could say that it helped me because it did make my skin brighter overall. I am saying ‘helped’ because I used it along with Vitamin C. I have been using Vitamin C for a long time, and only after adding this product it helped.

So overall, if you have the patience to wait for months and have the perseverance to use it regularly and diligently, you must give it a try by adding it to your skincare routine. Also, one should keep in mind that it is a product to treat hyperpigmentation. Though it is named as WH (Whitening) effector, it does not bleach your skin. So, if you want a product for whitening or something similar to fairness, this is not the one to try though it does impart a subtle brighteing effect.

Pros of It’s Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector:

  • Good for hyperpigmentation.
  • Provides moderate hydration.
  • Product lasts for 5-6 months.

Cons of It’s Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector:

  • It took 3 months to show the result, so patience is the key with this product.
  • Contains added fragrance which is overpowering, might not be suitable for people with sensitive skin.

Would I Repurchase It’s Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector?
Yes, I will! It worked well for me, and I will continue to use it until I find something more efficient than this. The Ordinary brand also has an Arbutin 2% product, but it did not suit my skin, so I picked this It’s Skin one which is relatively milder. If you are looking for something more potent and immediate, you should try The Ordinary after a patch test.
