Skinfood Pineapple Morning Peeling Gel Review

I recently bought a peeling mask from Skinfood and Holika Holika each. I tried and reviewed the one by Holika Holika last week, and in this post, I review the one by Skinfood. Face masks are essential for skin care. It is important to use wash off or overnight or sheet masks at least 2-3 times a week for a more concentrated and effective absorption of nutrients by the skin. Masks make skin softer, tighter and reduce the appearance of pores. The mask in this review is one of its kind and is certainly worth a try.

Skinfood Pineapple Morning Peeling Gel Packaging

Price: $12
Product Description:
This deep peeling gel contains cellulose particles and AHA found in apples. It effectively exfoliates dry flaky skin and eliminates oil in pores. Pineapple, aloe and purslane extracts cultivate skin that is clear and blemish free. Pineapple contains enzymes that soften skin and reduce inflammation. It contains vitamins A & C which prevent signs of aging.

Directions:
Apply an ample amount to cleansed and dried face. Massage skin gently until clumps of impurities start forming. Wash off with lukewarm water.

My Experience with Skinfood Pineapple Morning Peeling Gel:

This peeling gel mask comes in a tube packaging which is pineapple yellow in color and has a green flip cap. It is travel-friendly, easy to store and leak-proof. The best way to use this mask is to apply it right after skin cleansing. I apply a thin coat of this mask evenly on my face and then gently massage the face in a circular motion.

Continue massaging till the gel mask starts to crumble and starts picking up dead skin and dirt. This feature of the mask is essential since it helps clear out the oil and grime out of the pores and remove impurities. This peeling gel, unlike others, contains minute particles to facilitate skin scrubbing. This mask is gentler at clearing pores than an abrasive exfoliating cleanser which leaves skin raw and irritated.

Skinfood Pineapple Morning Peeling Gel Claims

This mask contains certain chemicals that are perhaps essential for creating the right texture of the product and preserve it. It contains some natural ingredients as well, such as pineapple fruit extract, aloe vera leaf extract, glycolic acid and purslane extract. Pineapple is a natural source of AHA which is a well-known chemical exfoliant. It helps to remove dirt and excess sebum from pores. Aloe vera has skin soothing properties and prevents skin irritation. Purslane extract is rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin A and is a good skin brightening agent.
