Today, I will be reviewing a popular Korean skin care product from the brand “Skin Food.” It’s an interesting mask-cum-exfoliator, which works really well on me. Read on to know more about this product.

Black Sugar Cleansing skin care line is an exfoliating and moisturizing cleansing line with organic black sugar that is enriched with vitamins and minerals to hydrate and nourish skin.
Directions For Use:
After cleansing, massage gently into damp skin, or mix with water/cosmetic water and apply. Avoid skin around the eyes and lips. After 10-15 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water.

My Experience with Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off:
It comes in a white plastic tub packaging with a screw lid which has a brown eco-friendly paper with the product name on it. On the tub, it has the description of the product, how to use, ingredients and price, both in Korean and in English language. Since it comes in a tub packaging, it’s unhygienic and it’s recommended that you scoop out the product using a spatula.
As the product contains sugar as a main ingredient, it has a granular texture. And as per the instructions, it is advisable to use the mask on damp face because the product is too thick to spread out evenly otherwise. To minimize irritation, one can use water or toner to spread the product easily. The sugar in the product is not so harsh, it has a nice exfoliating feel. Coming to the scent, it has a soothing citrus smell, which is very calming.
I use this product twice a week after cleansing and toning my face. I spread this product on my damp face which helps the product to go on easily. Initially, on application, you can feel the granular sugar particles on your skin, but later, it just melts a bit. I leave it on my face as a mask for 15 minutes and then massage it on my face.
It provides a good massage and removes all dead skin and dry patches. Upon rinsing off, I can see that my skin becomes soft, smooth, without any dead skin or dry patches. This mask makes my skin appear clear. There’s no dry or stretchy feel, instead it imparts a nice moisturizing effect to the skin. Overall, I love this product.
