I have been an ardent fan of St. Ives products, especially their apricot scrub. On one of my foreign trips, I picked up this body wash. The ingredients truly influenced my purchase. Read on to find out if it really matched my expectations.

My Experience with St. Ives Coconut and Orchid Body Wash:
Packaging: This comes in a tall semi-transparent bottle. The bottle is white in color. The front and back have a sticker which displays the name of the product and picture of the main ingredients on the front and the ingredients at the back. It has a simple and attractive packaging. I personally love transparent bottles, since you get to know how much quantity has been used.
The cap is a turn on with a nice press to open. I personally like these kinds of caps since they let you control the amount of product you are using. The cap is tightly sealed so the body wash doesn’t leak or drip. I picked up a huge bottle and this isn’t travel-friendly (didn’t see any other size options).
This wash is a white thick and creamy liquid with a good consistency and it foams well. It works well with the loofah. If you try using it with fingers, it doesn’t lather much and gives you a sticky feeling (like any other shower wash). Once rinsed, it gives you a clean and fresh feeling. A little amount is good enough and this will last you very long.
I am a big fan of body washes. I have extremely dry and sensitive skin and I try to use creamy washes which help combat that. This one truly lived up to its claims. It not only gently cleanses but it also moisturizes and softens the skin. Coconut milk has been used since ages for skin and hair and I must tell you that it’s a beauty savior. Orchids are known to have reparative and protective properties which help in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. And above all, it gives you a moisture boost. All this combined with the goodness of coconut milk, cocoa butter, shea butter, jojoba butter and glycerine enhance the quality of the skin. And, as the wash claims, it does instantly restore the skin’s natural radiance.
The best part is that it is natural and moisturizes the skin well. There are times when I haven’t used a body moisturizer post wash and it has remained soft and supple. It contains SLS as mentioned in the description.
