My Experience with Superdrug Dead Sea Purifying Clay Mask:

The Super drug Dead Sea Purifying Clay mask comes in a standard sachet pack. It says it is suitable for oily and blemish prone skin. I have normal to dry skin, but nowadays, it is getting oily and I am getting a few zits on my face. I needed some quick fix for that. I tried this clay mask as it claims to deep cleanse.
The colour of the mask is light mint green. The mask is thick and heavy in consistency like any other clay mask. It spreads easily over the skin. The fragrance is strong combination of eucalyptus and lemon and I didn’t like it.

I applied it all over the face and on my neck. The product quantity is sufficient to cover face and neck generously. After application on the skin, at first, it feels slightly cooling which is something I love because it helps to soothe and calm the skin. It’s good to mention that this is actually a setting mask so when you’re sporting it, it will harden and your skin will start to feel tight. I let it dry for 10-15 minutes and wash off with warm water. Unlike most hardening face masks, this was really easy to get off and my face felt so smooth. I was so impressed!

The fragrance stays for a few minutes even after washing off. My skin was feeling soft and clean. I could feel that it does soak up oil and dirt from my face. Usually clay masks dry out the skin, but that’s not the case with this mask. My skin was feeling tighter than before and there was no stretchy feeling. I didn’t experience a tingling sensation with this face mask or any redness after use. As the product claims, there was no radiance or glow on my face; just clean skin.

It is an average clay mask which does a decent job for one-time clean up. I have one more pack of this which I will use during holidays. You can give it a try but don’t keep high expectations. It clears the skin and removes excess oil and dirt, but the next day same old story, the effect doesn’t last for more than a day or two. I keep these sachet masks for emergency use or while I am on holidays and don’t have time for parlour clean up.
