What it does: Creates smoldering & sultry eyes in your color of choice. tarte offers a wide range of gorgeous Amazonian clay infused shades to choose. Simply glide along the upper & lower lash line for smooth rich color definition. Use the built-in smudger to soften the look for better, longer, truer wear.
Ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane, polybutene, synthetic wax, isododecane, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, hydrogenated cottonseed oil, ceresin, ozokerite, kaolin, microcrystalline wax/cera microcristallina/cire microcristalline, tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate, carthamus tinctorius (safflower) seed oil, silk powder/serica/poudre de soie, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, phenoxyethanol, mica, iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), ferric ferrocyanide (CI 77510).
My Experience with Tarte Skinny SmolderEyes Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner Jade:
This is a double-ended sharpenable pencil that comes housed in an outer dark blue cardboard box. There is a window on the box which shows the actual product. This liner has eyeliner on one end and a smudger on the other.
The pencil’s body has the kohl’s actual shade with gold leaf designs. The combination of gold on the pencil makes it look very pretty and enchanting. There are around 5 shades in this range, which includes a black, grey, green, brown and a metallic bronze shade.
Jade is true to its name and is a dark jade green color which has a semi-matte finish. I thought it will be a light green shade, but it’s a pretty dark shade. This pencil has great pigmentation – one swipe gives you good opacity and deposits the desired color on the eyes.
This product can be used on the lashline and also as an eyeliner. The texture of the pencil is super soft and smooth and glides on the eyes with ease. The pencil is creamy, but that doesn’t make it easily breakable. This product looks good on the eyes, but once you put it on the lash line it smudges a bit after some time, giving a smoldering look.
Though the smudging part is a bit off, I think this pencil is mainly designed for creating a smokey eye look. That’s why they have provided a smudging tool. The smudger is very soft and smudges the liner easily without straining the eyes. The pencil creates a perfect green smokey eye look and stays put on the eyes for a good five hours.
I just love the fact that this pencil creates smokey eyes in a jiffy, which makes any makeup look all the more sultry. Overall, if you want a good green smokey eye pencil, then you can give this a try.
