The Body Shop Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow Mist Review

The Body Shop-Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist Review

Hello ladies,
I mentioned a little about my insomnia these days in my eye cream review and how I am trying to work upon it. After having tried a lot of tricks and this and that, I thought I should give a shot to something like essential oils. On my recent visit to The Body shop (with jinal :D)
I found this deep sleep dreamy pillow and body mist. We both sprayed it on our hands, and immediately liked it. So, I ended up buying this.

The Body Shop Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow & Body-Mist

Spray some of this quick-drying soothing mist onto your pillow or sheets before bedtime and the special encapsulation technology will ensure bursts of active fragrance will be released throughout the night, as the body moves, to aid more satisfying sleep. Special relaxing ingredients of jujube date and Community Trade chamomile combine to balance and soothe and promote tranquil sleep.
Norfolk Essential Oils supply us with our Chamomile oil. They are based in East Anglia, UK and we have been trading with them since 2001. Our trade in Chamomile oil and water helps support small farmers. Norfolk Essential Oils, a cooperative of small-scale family farmers is based in a rural area of Norfolk on the eastern side of England. The farmers were facing increasing difficulties earning a livelihood from traditional crops, until 1997, when they diversified into the production of essential oils. Zambia based, North Western Bee Products are the suppliers, for whom we have been trading with since 1991. The Zambian Honey we use in our products comes from the remote tropical forests of north west Zambia, where it’s farmed using traditional methods that preserve the forest and beekeepers’ way of life.

Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow mist

Community Trade chamomile from Norfolk Essential Oils in Norfolk, UK – Chamomile is known for its calming benefits.
Jujube date – Jujube date is considered to help promote deeper sleep. Geranium, juniper and patchouli essential oils – To soothe and promote tranquility.

Spray onto the body, pillow or sheets before bedtime.

I purchased this on a bit of a whim – I was looking to pamper myself and saw the ‘Dreamy Sleep’ logo and I was sold… I thought it would help me get rid of my insomnia 😛

The Body mist has a Zen or Spa-like scent which I smell chamomile, something citrusy or zesty / a little mandarin orange like… I can confirm it is slight musky lavender smell too but with a little tang – I would recommend smelling it before purchasing because it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. I spray this on the pillows, at times also on my pulse points , just before I get in to bed, the initial citrus smell is slightly overpowering but it settles & gets subtle soon and it makes bedtime much nicer!!!

According to the list of ingredients, it contains chamomile, jujube date, geranium, and juniper and patchouli essential oils. This concoction does not put me to sleep immediately, rather it calms my mind and I was able to relax more and then gradually drift to sleep sooner than usual. So, for me this product is really working well. Overall, it’s a nice little treat to spray on your pillow at night..

What is good about TBS deep sleep body mist?

• Contains essential oils which are very calming /soothing/ relaxing for the mind
• Actually works for me.
• Convenient to use spray dispenser.
• No harmful chemicals/ parabens/ preservatives
• Easy to carry bottle
• Easily available across The Body shop stores.

What is not so good about TBS deep sleep body mist?

• I found it a little expensive for the 100 ml quantity.
• The tangy orange fragrance may not appeal everyone.
• The fragrance is not that long lasting, I need to spray it everyday on the pillow.

Will I buy it again?

Yes, of course, as it seems to be helping me deal with my insomnia. 😀

IMBB rating- 4/5 :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* -1(for being little expensive )

  7. I like TBS too and buy lots of stuff but for this particular type of product I find Oriflame also has a pretty nice one for cheaper. A Lavender scented one..maybe someone can try that too and let us know if you’ll like ie. me liking it very much

    1. aruna, the thing u r talking abt is thr sleep easy somthing mist….blue/lavender colored bottle.. a friend once gifted it to me … its nice too :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2:

      1. ya..when i wind down for the day and do my breathing thingie, i spray some of it on the pillow. I used to think it was just a marketing strategy but actually it does work 🙂

  8. I would really love soothing fragrance while sleeping.. but as you say it is citrusy I might try it before getting it. Nice review Noopur 🙂 :thanks:

  9. Considering that I get runny noses, slight coughing fits and the once-in-a-blue-moon asthma attack, I found that this product doesn’t aggravate my health problems nor give any side-effects. But then, I personally don’t recommend using this every night. Just on nights when you feel tired, sleepy and lethargic, but yet unable to sleep. It’s just like paracetamol, if you use it on a daily basis, it will lose it’s effects and not work anymore.
