The Body Shop Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes Review

Hello sweeties,
Tea tree oil is considered as a magic potion for acne prone and blemished skin, but it hasn’t really helped me out till date! But TBS is a trusted brand, so I got these facial wipes just to keep my face clean and healthy. I have used the TBS tea tree range before and wasn’t left that satisfied, so I had no expectations before trying these. Let’s see how they worked for me.

My Experience with The Body Shop Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes:

Packaging: The tea tree wipes come in the usual tea tree style packaging in fresh minty green with a glossy bottle-green label over it. The pack is big and is loaded with wipes! It is a pack of 25 wipes and is pretty expensive because these are just WIPES after all! The pack is quit handy and the label seal works really well to pull off a wipe from it. I love that the sticking portion works well because a lot of times some labels lose their stickiness making the wipes lose their moisture and then they are of no use to us. The wipes come in white colour as usual. They are pretty big to cleanse my entire face and neck. One wipe cleans everything perfectly.

Feel on the skin and scent: The wipes are extremely gentle on my skin and they are exactly like baby wipes. They take care of your skin to a very good extent. They are soft and glide very nicely on the skin cleaning portion by portion of my face. They aren’t that wet; they have moisture in them but not like the regular wipes we use, and that was the reason I was a bit sceptical about it while removing my makeup. But they clean the skin beautifully. The scent is a super refreshing tea tree one and it actually soothes and revives my senses. The moment I smell it I feel relaxed. It causes a little tingling sensation while wiping my face off and this tingling sensation is the same as we experience when using tea tree products. But it makes me feel like it is working! The scent stays on my face or a while and then fades off.

Results: I was left amazed with the way it cleansed my skin. Technically, it works like the regular wipes but I did not feel the need to wash my face after using this which is a great option for me when I am very tired to remove my makeup off. It removes all the impurities from my skin and I can actually see the dirt on the wipes. I am not sure whether it removes the pore-clogging impurities or not because my pores near my nose area looked the same.

It also gets rid of all the sebum and excess shine on my face and reveals the actual glow of my face which I loved as my face looked clean, clear and glowing. It removes the makeup effectively too except for heavy makeup like creamy or gel liners which have to be rubbed a lot. But I won’t complain as they don’t have any makeup removal claims. I don’t think the wipes did anything for my skin because my pimples were the same, so I don’t know why they write that these are only suitable for blemished skin. And the cherry on the cake is The Body Shop does not test on animals.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend The Body Shop Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes?
No I wouldn’t want to spend so much on wipes! We have loads of decent facial wipes from affordable brands which work the same way, so why splurge so much? You can buy a few packs of Kara ones instead of this.

Conclusion: I think the tea tree range is something I wouldn’t want to indulge in now because the products are good, but not great!
