Here I am again with the last product in my series of The Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose brand. I have already reviewed the fragrance mist and the body lotion variants. I am a sucker for sultry and seductive fragrances. This particular latest launch by the Body Shop has a fragrance which has filled my senses with its aroma and I am completely enthralled by it. Actually, seductive and dark fragrances are more for cold, wintry evenings, but since this was launched in India a bit late, I did not get to enjoy it then. That does not mean that I love it any less now. Summers mean hot and sweaty skin, and a desire to take a bath before going to bed. This product has been my go-to product for my nightly showers.

My Experience with The Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose Body Wash:
This product also comes in a pretty, mauve colored plastic bottle containing 250 ml of product. It is covered with a silver color, very convenient press cap. The product itself is transparent, slightly runny liquid. It has that characteristic seductive, rose smell as all the other products of this variant. It is soap free, but does foam very well. Using it with a loofah increases the amount of lather produced. It cleans the skin very well, and is easy to wash off also. It does not dry out the skin since it does not have soap. My normal to dry skin felt adequately hydrated and there was no dry, tight or itchy feel on my skin. The shower gel never irritated my skin, never caused any itching or redness and never broke me out. A very little amount of gel is needed, so one bottle will last me a long time.
Just to know how well it cleans my skin, I did an experiment. I applied Ben Nye Concealer on my arm (which is one of the best creamiest and full coverage concealers in the market) and then let it dry completely. After two hours, I washed it with this shower gel and I couldn’t believe it – the arm was totally and completely clean without any trace of concealer remaining. I am a firm convert now that this one does clean very well, without the presence of any soap, and without drying out my skin.
The fragrance is just like the body mist, just a very light version, and will not fill your shower cubicle with the fragrance. The fragrance is soothing to the senses and not at all cloying. The fragrance remains on skin for 1-2 hours, and can be increased by co-application of the body lotion. The shower gel has a warm, exotic and seductive smell with a hint of rose in it. The shower gel has a really luxurious feel to it. I usually take a wash in the night before going to bed. I then envelope this fragrance with the body lotion and I am done for the night. My skin is soft, supple, clean and hydrated. The body lotion sinks especially well after the shower, and gives an overall enthralling, exotic feel to my senses.

Would I Repurchase The Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose Body Wash?
Yes, again and again and again. All these products (the shower gel, body lotion and body mist) really complement each other, and can set you up for any social evening out or a romantic dinner, or just a cuddle in your blanket with your favourite book in hand and the AC on. I am in total love with this entire range of products, and I think I will continue to purchase it throughout my life. It has really become my HG set of bath products.
