Hope ya’ll have been doing good. I have had a hectic week and clueless that the weekend is already here!
So I managed to do some quick shopping and this is one of the products I picked (re-purchased) for myself hoping to have less waxing trips to the salon 😛
The other variant which is for all skin types with shimmer has been reviewed here and already has some fabulous reviews. The one am reviewing is for normal to dry skin, which has aloe vera extracts that provides long Moisturization. Let’s see if it stands up to the claims as said.
What Veet says:
New Veet touchably smooth hair minimizing body moisturizer along with Aloe vera moisturizes your skin leaving it touchably soft and smooth all day long. It has been specially designed to noticeably slow down the appearance of hair re-growth.
Directions for use:
For best results, apply directly after bathing on your body for noticeably softer and smoother skin. It can be used directly after any hair removal method to prolong the feeling of just departed smoothness. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. If product gets into eyes, wash immediately with water.
My take on Veet Touchably Smooth Hair Minimizing Moisturizer with Aloe Vera:
Like they have mentioned, I started using it immediately after my waxing session. I have normal hair, neither too light nor too thick, but my problem areas are my knees and elbows. I have dry skin, even in summers; my elbows kinda get dry and patchy. Also, the hair growth below my elbow is very abnormal due to hair re-growth happening with in the skin. This is only below my elbows and the rest of the areas, its pretty normal. So with in a week after my waxing I feel the re-growth happening below my elbow to be quick than the rest of my hand. I was looking for something that would help me solve this, where no scrub proved helpful with this case.
It’s been a more than 2 months since I have been using this and sadly though, it has not been very helpful in solving my issue, but it sure has proved to slow down the appearance of hair re-growth since the time I have begun using this. I usually visit the salon 3 weeks later (though my hair is not fully grown, but that small light hair bothers me so much, so..!) now its reduced to once in a month. I really never expected it to work so fast!
Since I have dry skin and so got the dry skin variant (without shimmer), though it claims to provide long lasting Moisturization, it only lasts for 4-5 hours, which is fine in summers now. But i doubt if this will provide enough Moisturization during winters too!
Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this product as the main aim was to slow down the appearance of hair re-growth. (Moisturization is just enough for summers)
Pros of Veet Touchably Smooth Hair Minimizing Moisturizer with Aloe Vera:
- Achieves its claims of slowing down hair re-growth.
Cons of Veet Touchably Smooth Hair Minimizing Moisturizer with Aloe Vera:
- Not very moisturizing.
- I wish it had SPF in it. I know it’s too much to ask for, but I hate layering products especially in summer’s.
- Contains parabens (every other product has, but it feels good to use a product which has no parabens)
4/5 ( -1 for not being moisturizing even though it says, it’s for dry skin)
Would I repurchase / recommend Veet Touchably Smooth Hair Minimizing Moisturizer with Aloe Vera?
Yess, for both!
