Bath and Body Works Cool Amazon Rain Sugarcane Scrub Review

I am pretty excited as this is my second review on IMBB. I have been a regular follower of the blog for the past 3+ years and there have been so many times when I felt like writing some reviews, but a full-time job, a toddler and my laziness (okay, I admit, laziness was the prime reason) always became a hindrance.  A New Year has begun, and I hope to shrug off some of that laziness and start contributing actively.  I recently hauled a few Bath and Body Works products and when I saw that they have launched a new signature Brazil collection, I decided to try them out and review for you all.  I am a big fan of Bath and Body Works and love most of their fragrances – the 3 new Brazil collection fragrances are Cool Amazon Rain, Fresh Brazil Citrus and Lush Pink Dragonfruit. The names and the imagery on their website is pretty attractive and I could not resist the temptation of picking up a few items. I hope to review them all for you; and I begin with a scrub – Cool Amazon Rain Sugarcane Scrub.

Price:

$14.50 for 8 oz/ 226 g. I got it on discount as I hauled quite a few products.

Product Description:

Unleash your most natural beauty with our edition Sugarcane Scrub! Naturally exfoliating sugarcane crystals combine with nourishing Acai Berry Extract and protective Maracuja Oil to leave skin ultra-smooth, nourished and radiant.

Top Notes: Amazon Rain, Exotic Mandarin, Brazilian Starfruit.
Mid Notes: Pink Cyclamen, Coconut Blossom, Frangipani, Cattleya Orchid, Trumpet Jasmine.
Dry Notes: Dewy Bamboo, White Driftwood, Palm Leaf, Musk.

How To Use:

Massage onto skin with warm water. Rinse to reveal renewed radiance!

Packaging:

This product comes in a squeezable tube packaging with a colorful picture of some tropical leaves and flowers. The print is pretty attractive and one of the reasons I bought the scrub.  The tube is sturdy and the cap shuts tight. So, traveling with it should not be a problem and I much prefer the “tube design” to the “tub design” of some other scrubs in which you need to dip your fingers every time.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Cool Amazon Rain Sugarcane Scrub:

I truly enjoyed using this sugarcane scrub.  The sugarcane crystals do not feel harsh on the skin but do the job of exfoliating pretty well. You only need a little quantity of the product as it lathers up well and I do not need to use any soap/ shower gel later. It leaves my skin smooth and squeaky clean.

I have normal-to-oily skin and this scrub does not dry my skin out.  But, I feel that it may dry out dry-skinned beauties.  The scrub has a nice tropical smell which is not too overpowering. The smell lingers on my body for 1-2 hours but dies down after that.

Pros of Bath and Body Works Cool Amazon Rain Sugarcane Scrub:

• Exfoliates the skin well.
• Granules are not harsh.
• Lovely tropical smell.
• Attractive and sturdy packaging.
• Will last long as not much product is needed.

Cons of Bath and Body Works Cool Amazon Rain Sugarcane Scrub:

• It might a bit drying on dry skin 😛
• Contains SLES.

Yes, I would surely recommend you to try this product out. I have already bought another scrub from the Brazilian collection and I guess it will take a long time to finish both these tubes.
