Hello all!
Today, I’ll be sharing an eye shadow palette’s review with you all. Lately I’ve been trying a lot of eye makeup looks because Engineering is over and I have some time before I join the corporate world. I’ve been loving Makeup Revolution palettes nowadays and have been using all of them a lot. So when I found that they had this palette, I looked up it, and I was sold! I had to get this palette as it’s just so beautiful. Enough rambling, let’s get started with the review.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution New-trals vs Neutrals Palette:
This palette comes in a matte black outer cardboard packaging. The actual palette is a classy matte black with gold embossing on top. The eye shadows are neatly arranged with gorgeous shimmery shades and a few matte shades. Unlike other palettes, there isn’t a top row dedicated only for mattes and the bottom for shimmer; there are mostly shimmery shades with a few mattes here and there. The palette also comes with a dual ended brush, which is quite useful. There’s a huge mirror provided too. Overall, I love the packaging and it is perfect to travel with because it gives you enough neutral and colourful shades.
What attracted me towards the palette is the beautiful selection of mattes and shimmers. You can create so many looks with this palette – be it day time look, night time look, date night makeup, you name it. I have created three looks to give you an idea about how you can use this palette.
These eye shadows are super soft to touch and there’s hardly any fallout from them. There are a few shades that are a bit powdery, but only if you rub more to get more product. The pigmentation is good; I’m impressed that even the mattes are pigmented enough. You can also build up the pigmentation by layering more product.
The staying power need slight improvement here. The shadows stay on for 5 hours without any primer. A primer would not only make the colour pop a bit more but also extend the longevity.
Let’s now start knowing each colour, starting off with the top row:
Bias: This is a bone coloured eye shadow with slight flecks of fine shimmer
Neutral: Mauve light dusty pink with matte finish
Personal: This is a peachy shimmery shade with just a hint of orange colour
Vogue: This is a coral shade and is a shimmery shade; it’s a lovely colour and is quite unique
Trend: This is kind of like burnt orange shade but has more brown to it; this is a matte shadow
New-tral: This is a pinkish orange shade with shimmers in it
Tone: This is a red colour with some brown in it. It’s not a proper red though, and is a matte shade
Custom: This is a dark brown matte shade which lacks pigmentation
Now the bottom row:
Cool: This is an off white shade; it’s a matte shade with some shimmers and I use it to set my concealer. It is not that pigmented
Style: This is a shimmery shade and can be described as the palest pink shade; this gives a foiled shadow effect when used wet
Partial: This is again a shimmery pale pink colour but has more pink in it that ‘Style’; when used wet, this too gives a foiled shadow look and is one of my favourite shades from this palette
Mode: This is a pure golden shade which again looks like a foiled shadow when used wet; love this shade a lot
Adapt: This is mauve toned brown shade, one of the shades that doesn’t really show up on me unless layered on several times; it’s a matte shade
Buff: This is a taupey brown shade that’s more on the brown side and has shimmers in it; it’s a lovely colour
Suit: This is a taupey brown shimmery shade with more grey in it; it has less shimmers than other shimmery shadows
Strong: The best shade from this palette and my most favorite shade too; strong is a beautiful black shade with brown-red reflex shimmers. What a beauty! It’s a shame that my camera couldn’t capture it well as this shadow is a treat for the eyes!
