Revlon Photoready Pink Rose Sculpting Blush Palette is a Miss!

Revlon Photoready Sculpting Brush Palette

Hello sweethearts…!!

How are you all? The GOSF is here and I am excited like hell. Last year during this time I was on a rural internship and I missed the GOSF. This time I am going to shop a lot. Coming on to today’s product, it is a sculpting brush palette from Revlon in Pink Rose shade. I love to apply light shades as blush because I keep my makeup toned down often. All the blushes that I own are either pink or coral. I had bought this blush from Revlon way back. While buying this blush I had very high hopes from it because Revlon is known for its quality. The name Pink Rose made me tempted to buy it.

My take on Revlon Photoready Pink Rose Sculpting Blush Palette:

I was in two minds while buying this blush because there was no tester available for this and it was worth 900 INR. But I decided to take the plunge as I had many products from the Photoready range which had done well. The blush comes in a black pan with the shade name written on the top left. The product can be seen as it has a see through plastic covering on the top. It has a small rectangular glass inside it which can be used for touch ups. It also has a small space to hold the brush. The brush is soft and doesn’t feel harsh on skin.

Now coming on to the reality, this palette has zero pigmentation. However amount of product you try, you won’t get a good color. It doesn’t even show up after applying a primer. I had to literally dig out the blush to make it visible on my fingers, forget about face. It is the worst product I have ever tried from Revlon. The size of the contour blush, blush and the illuminator is so tiny that getting it out onto the brush is another tedious task. The brush offered with this may be apt to use for with other blushes but with this palette you need to use a smaller blush. If you use the brush provided with it, you tend to actually mix up all the three and it results in a complete mess. The fallout is also too much and I had to cleanup this pan with a cloth before taking the pictures.

The only thing good about this brush is that it is oil free and paraben free. Even after applying a lot of it you don’t tend to feel heavy on face. Talking about the staying power is just a waste of time. The color doesn’t show up on your face and thus expecting it to stay much is a distant dream. It hardly stays on for 30 minutes after application.

Pros of Revlon Photoready Pink Rose Sculpting Blush Palette:

• Paraben-free and oil-free.
• The brush provided with it is of good quality thought it doesn’t work with this palette.

Cons of Revlon Photoready Pink Rose Sculpting Blush Palette:

• No pigmentation.
• Staying power is immensely low.
• Very expensive considering the quality offered.
• The size of products offered is very low.
• Causes a lot of fallout.
• None of the 3 products works upto the mark.

IMBB rating:

0.5/5 for its packaging and because it is paraben free and oil free.

    1. I was also a bit disappointed wen they didnt have testers…and am soo foolish…i bought it without giving it any second thought… 🙁

  1. Thank heavens I went with my instincts and purchased Lotus Ecostay one instead. I was actually eyeing this one. Such an utter and complete dud, that too from Revlon. 🙁
