7 Ways to Eat Your Water

Water is essential to carry out all bodily functions. Water not only quenches our thirst but also hydrates our body, keeps our skin looking fresh, glowing and also flushes out excess toxins from our body. But how many of us actually drink enough water? Not many of us! Well you can try the food items that I have listed below to complete your dose of daily intake of water.

Cucumber:

Cucumbers are crunchy; they help you feel full for longer intervals and are ideal for snacking. They have about 96% of water and processes very little calories which makes them light to eat. Cucumbers have antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits which help in skin vitality and also to flush out toxins from the body.

Zucchini:

Zucchini is one of the most hydrating vegetables around. It has 95% water weight. Zucchini is full of foliate and potassium that lower blood pressure and reduce risk of heart strokes. You can have it raw with a dash of lime or you can use it as a topping for various recipes.

Tomatoes:

As we all know tomatoes are rich in anti-oxidants. Not only they are used in soups, making various recipes but they are also used in various DIY treatments. They are very hydrating with a water content of 94%. You can sprinkle a bit of salt on them and just eat them as it is. They make for a great snack!

This veggie has 92% water content, same as that of spinach! You can use both these vegetables in a dish or you can make a crunchy salad out of them!

Watermelon:

This is undoubtedly the quintessential summer fruit and my favourite too! Watermelon has 92% water content. This is a great fruit to stay hydrated in the scorching heat of summers. This fruit will keep your water intake in check and will also give you a fresher looking skin too.

Who knew this winter vegetable came with 87% water content. Carrots are not only good for our eyes but also have various anti aging benefits as they are loaded with beta-carotene.

Oranges:

Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin-C. They have 86% water weight in them. They are great fruit to eat which is also used in so many homemade treatments. Dried orange peels are also great to use as scrub to reveal a brighter looking complexion and to slough away dead skin cells.
