My Experience with NYC Smokin’ Hot Show Time Volume Mascara:
I have used NYC Showtime Volume Mascara before and was happy with how it showed up on my eyes. So, this time when I went to purchase a mascara, I saw this “Smokin’ Hot” version and picked it up! This mascara comes in a pink mascara tube, but somehow the cap and the body do not align. The wand is thin and has bristles like a budget mascara. The two horns at the tip of the wand remind me of an insect every time I open it! The color is jet black and has good pigmentation. The mascara is a little bit thick and easy to apply.
It does not clump on the lashes and 2-3 coats are needed to add drama to the lashes. The mascara adds volume to the eyelashes. The mascara separates the lash strands too and coats each and every strand and elongates it. The results are easily noticeable. The mascara doesn’t flake over the time and it’s easy to remove too. However, the mascara is not waterproof and splashes of water or rain can give you raccoon eyes.
This mascara doesn’t irritate the eyes. Once the mascara dries, the effect is long lasting, approximately 6-7 hours without any issues. However, the mascara doesn’t curl the eyelashes and you would need a curler to get beautifully curled lashes. Overall, for the price I paid, it is a good product and can be an ideal choice for daily wear.
