I always love my huge collection of Baby Lips and this time I picked up all the four shades. Now, I am going to share my views on the shade ‘Watermelon Pop’. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Color Candy Rush Lip Balm Watermelon Pop:

Maybelline Baby Lips Color Candy Rush Lip Balm comes in a nice color-coded funky outer paper packaging and the actual tubes have four different shades like Watermelon Pop has a nice light green shade as a base with a red cap and name detailing with that same red color. It looks super cute and matches with the name. This range looks like their original style which I love the most rather than their new packaging. The tube is sturdy and travel-friendly as well and the twist-up mechanism works smoothly.

Watermelon Pop is a sheer color with a hint of red. On the bullet, it looks deep bright red but actually, this particular shade is less pigmented and doesn’t show up on lips easily. I need to swipe it few times to get the color and it is actually a translucent red lip balm that makes lips cute that will goes with all the skin tones. This shade is pretty but it can’t hide lip pigmentation. It could have been a little more pigmented. With it, my lips look very natural with a hint of color, so I mostly prefer to use such shades at night or underneath a lipstick. If you are a person with good natural shade, it is good for you.

This lip balm has a nice soft, smooth texture that glides easily on the lips. It looks very nice and smooth on lips. The color spreads evenly and this texture feels light and comfortable as well. It is a non-sticky, non-greasy lip balm that makes lips smooth and healthy. It never highlights dry patches either.

This new range has a different smell and the Watermelon Pop has that super fresh smell of watermelon. It’s pretty common and I love this the most. If you have already tried Baby Lips Watermelon Smooth, then the smell is pretty similar to that, but it has a nice sweetness in it, so I like it more. I think it will suit to all.

This lip balm provides an instant relief to dry lips and cures the rough chapped texture. Like all the other old Baby Lips, it gives that desired nourishment to lips which can hide dryness and also repair my lips well. It makes the lips smoother and softer that last long. I am a person with super dry lips, so I have to take care of my lips and it works really well on me.

Apart from the hydration, lip balm provides a nice glossy tinted finish to lips which make lip cute and pretty. Like its name, it is a nice candy rush balm that makes lips cute like candy, feels yummy and also has a nice sweet taste like candy. No, I didn’t eat it but I have a habit to lick my lips sometimes, so it actually tastes sweet which is not bad at all. Also, it contains SPF 20 which protects my lips from sun rays and prevents from darkening.

As a lip balm, it does transfer but softness lasts long. Though it claimed to stay for 16 hours, it stays for around 5-6 hours on lips without any meal but after a few hours, the glossy look starts to fade, which is pretty common. Also, it can’t survive meals but it keeps the lips soft even after the tint fades away. So, I can say the softness last really long and I can easily reapply the balm. As it’s a sheer pigmented balm, the hint of the color looks faded after a few hours. Otherwise, color doesn’t settle into fine lines or crease.

Overall, it is a very cute lip balm that works well on dry chapped lips with a new sweetness. Maybelline Baby Lips never disappointed me and like that, I also love this new range. Only, this time they can include some new shades or some fun shades as I wanted to try something different. But, overall, at this affordable price, it is a good lip balm with some yummy smell.
