When I was travelling, I picked up a small shower gel from a pharmacy and today’s review is all about Vichy Ideal Body Spa Shower Gel-Oil. Read on to know more about the product.

My Experience with Vichy Ideal Body Spa Shower Gel-Oil:

The product comes in a blue tinted tube package with a blue flip cap. The cap is sealed with a plastic. The package is cute and is very handy, especially when you travel. The cap closes tight but not with a click. I haven’t seen any leakage from it. The hole of the dispenser is very tiny and this makes me use minimum product as possible. I usually use a loofah and always end up with a lot of product. But, I like the design of this product, which minimizes the excess use of the shower gel. The shower gel is light sea green to pale in color with a runny gel like consistency and smells very pleasant, spa like. There are 2 variants of quantity, 100ml and 200ml. Since I was travelling, I picked up the smaller one.

The product lathers well with a loofah but you cannot expect the same without it. When you use your palm to spread the gel, the shower gel sticks onto your palm and this decreases the spreading efficiency and the product stays at one place. Even the product has oil, it hardly has an oily texture nor can it be felt. The shower gel is soap-free and can be used to replace soap in your routine. One of the great things about the product is that it doesn’t make the skin dry. Winters are harsh and I usually pimp up my routine with thick creamy shower gels and lotions but, I was amazed how this gel works even in winters. There was no dryness and I was able to go lotion-free for more than 2-3 hours. It didn’t dry even after that but, I apply since I wanted a little moisturization.

The product is suitable for all skin types and doesn’t cause any irritation or redness. The shower gel also hydrates the skin and adds life to it. It makes the skin plump and very soft. The product eliminates any dry flakes present and soothes the skin. The product with its active minerals energizes the skin and beautifies as claimed. The product adds a subtle glow on the skin too but, it is more of a cleansed healthy look. The gel cleanses the skin thoroughly but, if you have oiled your skin, a little work in needed. The product also controls body odor which is great! The product is free from soap, paraben and SLS. I don’t have negatives to write on this product. This is an amazing must have product for me. I would like to try the shower cream from the same range to check on its uses!
