I always keep a ‘sensitive’ body lotion handy to take care of my skin after shaving or epilation. I recently came across this product from Balea and decided to pick it up. So, read on to know more about Balea Body Balm Sensitive.

My Experience with Balea Body Balm Sensitive:
The body balm comes in a long curvy bottle, similar to other lotions from the range. The flip cap is very easy to use and shuts with a click. Thus, there is no spillage. However, the product is a bit bulky and might not be a perfect travel companion. The white bottle can get dirtier. The product doesn’t come sealed so pick the ones from behind. I have seen some people testing the ones in front. The packaging is pretty basic.
The lotion is white in color and has a creamy consistency. It feels more like a gel crème and melts like butter. It smells very fresh and pleasant. It is neither too strong or light. The smell stays for around 30 minutes post application. The lotion is meant for sensitive skin. One of the reasons I pick up sensitive lotions is because once you epilate your arms or legs, the skin tends to become sensitive. So, such lotions work like magic.
The lotion has to be massaged in circular motions. It takes a few seconds to get absorbed, but once absorbed, it doesn’t leave any greasy residue. The skin is instantly moisturised and nourished. The body balm contains aloe vera and thus it soothes and calms the skin. When I apply the body balm post waxing or epilation, the lotion adds a cooling freshness and soothes the skin.
The redness gets minimal very quick, the lotion acts a nourishing barrier and I have no irritation. The lotion also makes the skin extremely soft and smooth. It eliminates dryness from the skin and also masks the dry flakes from the body. However, the elimination of dryness is temporary. The body balm provides moisturization for around 5-6 hours and then a reapplication is needed.
The body balm is not very rich and thus it can be used for summers; you need to look for alternatives for the dry, harsh winters. I love the body balm as it serves the purpose I’d purchased it for. If you are looking for a body lotion for sensitive skin this could be a good pick without burning a hole in your pocket.
