My Experience with Bath and Body Works Merry Berry Christmas Fine Fragrance Mist:
The Bath and Body Works Merry Berry Christmas Fine Fragrance Mist comes in the transparent, cylindrical, plastic bottle with a beautiful purple colored plastic cap. The bottle has a spray nozzle. The cap closes nicely, but will come out if kept in a bag while traveling. The bottle has images of ribbons over it. The packaging is similar to the Jingle All The Way Fragrance Mist from the same brand. The mist is purple in color, but comes out colorless and does not stain clothes.
This fragrance is a mix of berries. When sniffed in the bottle, it does smell very sweet. But when sprayed, the berry notes could be identified with a hint of citrus which explains the crystallized orange zest in the notes. It does has wine/vodka notes too, which I am not too fond. Well, that’s my personal preference. I am not into alcohol or any alcoholic beverages and I have strong aversion to alcoholic scent. I have no intentions to hurt anyone out there, this is just my personal choice. So all my liking for the berry fragrance goes away as soon as I sniff the vodka notes.
The dry notes are musky and sweet or should I say very sweet. Also, the similarity to the ‘Jingle All The Way’ is not just limited to the packaging. After drying, this mist smells too like that one and sometimes overly sweet. I prefer something which does not turn musky and sweet after a while, so this fragrance is definitely not made for me. Staying power is around 3-4 hours which is very similar to other mists from the brand. It might stay longer when used in conjunction with other products from the same range.
Pros of Bath and Body Works Merry Berry Christmas Fine Fragrance Mist:
• Beautiful packaging
• Sturdy bottle
• Cruelty free
Cons of Bath and Body Works Merry Berry Christmas Fine Fragrance Mist:
• Average staying power
• The berry notes give way to the vodka and musky notes
• The fragrance turns very sweet on drying
I would rate it 2.5/5
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Bath and Body Works Merry Berry Christmas Fine Fragrance Mist?
No, this is simply not the scent for me. I would recommend it to you if you are fond of berry notes which have a splash of vodka or wine notes. Also if you are a fan of sweet-musky fragrances, you might be interested in trying this one.
I will be back soon with another review soon. Till then, stay gorgeous. 😀
