Hope you all are enjoying the last month of this year. I am already excited about holiday gifts cum wishes that will pour in from every nook and corner of the world. Thankfully, my hubby’s company makes everyone feel special with their signature holiday gift gestures and this is the only time when I approve my husband of working overtime. 😀 So this time, he came home with a chubby little basket filled with chocolates, cookies and ravishing beauty gifts. While the eatables have already been gobbled down by our little munchkin, I am more than delighted to discover little hidden beauty treats in every nook and corner of this little basket. 🙂 Luckily, I received a majority of eye makeup products which will finally help me brush up my skills. This sizzling shimmery copper cream eyeshadow is a part of the gifts. Let’s read more about Benefit My Two Cents Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow now!

My Experience with Benefit My Two Cents Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow:
The creamy eyeshadow comes in a sturdy and transparent plastic mini tub packaging with a twist-over black cap. The packaging is quite ordinary yet classy and travel-friendly. This is a fragrance-free product, just like other Benefit products.
Benefit has launched some 10 creamy shades under this range and a majority of them seem to be cool, summery shades to me. Even though I find these shades too pale for our skin tone, I do see a few versatile shades like a shimmery bronze, smoldering charcoal or polished copper. But, considering the finish and beginner-friendly formula, I wish they had included brighter and bolder shades as well. My Two Cents is described as ‘polished copper’ and it is true to its description. It has a creamy gel texture which is intensely pigmented and gives a shimmery copper color pay off on the skin. I love how easily it blends on my skin without giving any flaky or patchy finish. This formula, in fact, reminds me of shimmery gel liners and creamy-gel eye pigments.
Oh yes, it is a perfect hybrid between cream and gel eyeshadows as it easily blends on the eyelids with fingertips and eye brush both. It sets to a budge-proof finish after a couple of minutes. I also like the fact that not only this particular shade but this formula both are versatile; I can use it as a gel eyeliner or pair with other powder, cream or gel eyeshadow. The formula also works equally well for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes. And when they say ‘creaseless cream’, they are not joking either; it stays on and on without creasing or feathering. In fact, I feel that it works equally well over bare eyelids, even without a primer. Lack of primer may affect the staying power but I haven’t noticed any unusual fading or transferring even after wearing it for 8+ hours.
I feel that wearing a primer or concealer often helps the color to pop out, hence I apply it over a concealer. This shade is perfect for my light skin tone and brown eyes, but it might be too pale for medium and dusky skin tones. Comparing this to similar beauty products available in my vanity, I would anytime prefer this beginner-friendly formula over other eye pigments. The ease of usage, mess free blending and finish and good staying-power make it a keeper; plus, I find it quite reasonably priced.
I would have loved to get every shade in this formula but would rather stick to bold shades as a majority of colors won’t show up on my skin tone. I would definitely recommend this particular shade to every beauty. And, if you are lucky enough to find your perfect match in other shades as well, then just go ahead.
