I own a lot of COlorbar lip pots, and it is a lot of fun to scoop out some luscious lip color from a pot and smear it on, I havent tried the Inglot and the NYX ones but boy am I keen now, take a look at some of the best drool worthy lip color pots below.
It gives such a creamy, smooth feeling to my usually dry lips. I had this doubt of its staying power since it was extremely moisturizing, but all such doubts cleared when I wore it once while going out and it stays on the lips for quite a long time! It glides on the lips like a dream and the finish is rich and sexy, just like what the company claims.
The shade Pink Velvet is a gorgeous pink color with light mauve undertones. It is without doubt an unique shade in my lipstick collection and by far, my first ever lip pot, which I instantly have fallen in love with. It is super pigmented and comes off beautifully on the lips with a single stroke of your lip brush. Best part is the staying power.
The product looks like a melted lippy, its more like vaseline with lipstick :p the consistency is very loose, not mousse like. The lipstick comes out very light as compared to what it looks like in the pot. The texture is buttery but not thick creamy. The shade is a true blue-based mauve.
The color is a peachy nude pink , the texture is light watery cream, its not the thick lipstick kind of cream, but its more like the water shine from maybelline which leaves behind a watery residue, the residue is not like the oily one in a gloss. The finish is glossy, in fact very glossy and the color has to be layered up to be seen much or else it looks like a nude gloss, it has no shimmer but its a plain nude shade.
This lip color comes in a glass pot with a steel cap, so you have to use a brush to get the product out and if you decide to use your finger, make sure you keep your sanitiser handy. It is a lovely shade of pink which will look good on pigmented lips. It’s a lovely glossy shade which stays for a long time, around 2-3 hours, and then the glossiness fades away leaving a matte color which looks as pretty as just applied.
The shade is more of a coral pink, and not very pinky pink, the color comes out only half as pigmented when you apply it, so I can say it is not true to the pot color, but it is a very pretty day wear office and college color, and hence I dont mind it being sheer.
Coral Crush is peachy warm toned coral. Easy to pull off. Would work on various skintones.
Staying Power : It stays on my lips for around 5 hours. Even after full meal the color is there on my lips. It gets a little lighter than usual but it is there completely on my lips.
Comfortable Wear : it does not dry out my lips and feels amazingly comfortable even after hours of wear.
The color is a bright red and is white pigmented, unlike the earlier ones that were sheer..I like how little of the product you need to cover the lips just touch the tip pf the brush and done! The brush does a great job and the color is glossy and high shine and covers pigmentation on the lips and makes lips look plumper.
The texture is creamy and gives good pigmentation as well. It hydrates your lips and that is what you want in winters. Pigmentation is neither opaque nor sheer. It is like a pigmented gloss. You can top this over other lippies as well and it looks great that way too.
Our best-selling, multi-tasking cream color just got even better. It’s now in a mirrored flip-top compact for on-the-spot application. Blend it on the apples of your cheeks for a just-pinched look. Blot it on your lips for a soft, stained finish. For drier skins, be sure to moisturize skin first. For an allover peachy glow.

NYX Lip Lacquer is somewhere between a Lip gloss or lipstick or Lip stain in a cute glass pot, even though the package mentions it to be a Lip gloss. The shade that I have is caramel fudge & it’s a lovely brownish color. The Texture is superbly smooth and it just glides on the lips. I find it just very slightly sticky just enough to make it last long for good 2-3 hours, after that there’s just a little tint on the lips. I don’t find any fragrance in it, nor does it have any taste /flavor as such. Overall, I like this product, and would love to try the other shades too.
Thicker in consistency than a lip gloss and thinner than actual lipstick. The shade I have is called “Okie Dokie Artichokie.” That’s a funny name for a lip product :). The name has nothing to do with the shade I believe. It looks like a peachy brown shade with golden shimmer in the pot.
This shade is true to its name as it is a coral and peachy in shade. It has a nice glossy finish which I think all of us prefer. This gloss is highly pigmented and gives full coverage; I usually use only a tiny bit on my lips so that it wont look TOO orange.
The NYX Lip Lacquer Pot was totally an accidental purchase, I saw them in the “NYX Lip Balm” stash, I was taken aback, and excited to see the price tag of “14 AED” on the stash, but then soon realized it was just misplaced there. The color of the NYX Lip Lacquer Pot in Simply Red is a deep red, not a bright one like the NYX Lip Cream which I reviewed HERE. It is a perfect marriage of a lipstick and a lip gloss.
This cream-based formula is great on both lips and cheeks for a sheer, stained finish. Available in a wide array of color choices for a variety of skin tones. Creamy and easy to blend – pat on lips and cheeks for a pop of color. For best results on cheeks, use fingers or Foundation Brush to apply. Start on the apples of cheeks, blending up towards hairline, then downwards to blend and soften color. For drier skins, be sure to moisturize skin first.
Vitamin E and Inglot’s smoothing and repairing complex smoothes, moisturizes and repairs the lips while biometric peptide stimulates collagen synthesis giving a 3D ultra shiny gloss effect.
The Inglot Lip Paint shade that I have is a dull rosy pink. The colour is very similar to Lakme Aquashine Lip Colour in old Rose. Infact the whole product is quite comparable to Lakme Aquashine Lip colour. Except that I never liked the staying power of Lakme Aquashine lip colour.
These are more like tinted lip creams that are absolutely buttery and soft on your lips. I don’t need to moisturize my lips before applying them. They are very hydrating. They are not sticky at all unlike most glosses from Revlon and Maybelline.
A protective emollient balm formulated with SPF 15, a sheer wash of colour and an all-natural sheen. Conditions lips, locks in moisture. Contains Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Extract, Wheat Germ Oil, vitamins A and E.
A non-sticky luscious lip gloss. Adds transparent, lightweight luster to lips. Provides rich, glamorous colour. Infused with a hint of pleasant flavor. Creates a soft, dewy & shimmering pout.
Lip paints are definitely one of the best lip products I have ever used. Their creamy and soft texture ensures smooth application. It smells so yummy that I feel like eating it sometimes
Dont you just want them all? ? I realize now I need a ton of Inglot lip paints, I dont own, which ones in a pot color form have you tried?
