Bourjois Levres Contour Lip Pencil – Rouge Seduction Review
Hi Everyone,
I am in a major lip pencil mode these days – correction, I am in a major “Bourjois Lip Pencil mode” these days and picked up about 5 of them. “The husband” just stared and stared at me like I had grown two horns on my head when I bought 5 of these 😛 Sigh and more sigh at his ignorance!
Anyhow, I am going to review one of those pencils today – its called “Rouge Seduction.”

So, I have been on the lookout for the perfect lip pencil to go with my favorite Russian Red and I proudly present to you Rouge Seduction, which cleared the test with flying colors!
This is a super duper matte blood red shade that looks fantastic on its own, or when used with a true red lipstick like Russian Red or Ruby Woo. I am so in awe of this shade *worship*
I never knew my lips could actually look so good with a red lip pencil.
I think it would look fantastic on both cool and warm tones, medium and dusky tones, basically everyone would be able to pull this off because the matte nature does not make it look over the top.

Texture:
People who prefer creamy and buttery textures for lip makeup won’t be too happy with this pencil. Being a true dark red and a lip pencil, its more drying than the other pencils from the same brand, but you can easily fill in the color by using the sides of the pencil rather than the tip. It dries into an absolute matte finish. I personally love the matte texture and don’t mind the dryness because that’s the sort of texture I prefer for red shades, but I admit that people with extremely dry or chapped lips will have a problem with the matte dry texture.
Staying Power:
F.O.R.E.V.E.R – there I said it! It’s really difficult to remove this shade from my lips completely with a remover. It increases the staying power of lipsticks 10 times and does not bleed or transfer at all.

Overall Verdict:
It’s a completely “neighbour’s envy, owner’s pride” product, so please don’t miss it. Try it at least once on your lips and see how lovely it looks!
