Bourjois Eyeshadow Ombre Paupieres – Feu D’Artifice 26
Hola lovely ladies,
Hope you are all in the pink of health. Today I am going to review one of the eyeshadows from my online haul which I got at a flat 50% off. This was a blind buy and I was not expecting it to be so shimmery since I am usually not a fan of super shimmery eyeshadows. Still I thought of using it and seeing how it fares.
The eyeshadow comes in a small round pot. Each pot is the color of the eyeshadow itself. This one is a lilac coloured case. It has a mirror as well as a small applicator. The packaging I feel is very good and innovative. You have all that is needed in case of emergency. The applicator is good in case you don’t have anything else to work with.
Price:
380 INR but I got it for 180 INR.
What the product says:
New silkier formula, new hot shades! Bourjois has used the revolutionary “baked technology” since 1863 to give its eyeshadows an ultra soft, light and easy-to-blend formula. Dont be shy, apply as much colour as you want for a luminous result.
Rounded, colourful and smart compact cases, as precious as jewels! A unique feminine design with integrated mirror and applicator for an easy application anytime, anywhere. And… it respects your eyes. A hypoallergenic formula, paraben and fragrance free. Contains up to 80% of mineral pigments.
My experience with Bourjois Eyeshadow Ombre Paupieres – Feu D’Artifice 26:
The color of the eyeshadow from the outside is a beautiful lilac with subtle shimmer. But as soon as I apply it all I get is pure white/silver shimmer. When I apply it dry, It looks like a have applied white shimmery chalk all over my lids. The colour pay off is bad. When used wet it fares better and looks and I can actually see some lilac in it.. Since there is so much of shimmer there is a lot fall out and you will end up with glitter all over your face and look like a discoball. So you definitely need a base for this to hold on your eyelids as well as be very careful when I applying this eyeshadow. This I feel is the biggest con for me as I don’t want eyeshadow application to be so hard and messy.
The staying power is also very bad. It hardly stays for an hour on my oily eyelids dry or wet. Probably a base might keep it longer. Overall, I won’t recommend this eyeshadow shade to anyone. Probably other shades might be better. I am very disappointed with bourjois with this product.
Pros of Bourjois Eyeshadow Ombre Paupieres – Feu D’Artifice 26:
• Nice packaging
• Paraben free
• Fragrance free
Cons of Bourjois Eyeshadow Ombre Paupieres – Feu D’Artifice 26:
• Super shimmery
• Bad staying power
• No color pay off
• Not worth 380 INR
IMBB Rating:
1.5/5 I wont repurchase this shade at all.
Have a nice day ladies!!
