Can Coloressence Long Wear Dark Brown Gel Eyeliner Become Your Favorite Eye Product?

My today’s pick is “Coloressence gel eyeliner.” After reading the review of the black one, I wanted to buy it and I was on cloud 9 when I saw this one online.  I always hunt for matte brown eyeliners, I was bored of shimmery, metallic brown pencils. I just love browns when it comes to eye makeup, so without a second thought, I bought it. Actually, I have got another shade “Dark Green,” and will be reviewing it shortly 🙂

Rs. 499 for 3 gm.

Packaging:

The gel liner comes in the typical cardboard packaging form, comes sealed in a cardboard and plastic packaging. You will find all the details on the card.  The card also has some color coded areas, which will give you the idea of the shade inside. The liner comes in a small rounded pot, unlike the Maybelline liner, this liner pot is made of thick plastic material, sounds cheap but it makes the pot lightweight and travel friendly. Also, the liner comes with an attached brush applicator, which is kind of tapered from the sides, it’s good but not the best, it’s best to use when you need a thick line.

My Take on Coloressence Long Wear Dark Brown Gel Eyeliner:

Shade:  The shade “Brown” is a dark chocolate brown color without any shimmer or metallic sheen to it. The shade is perfect for those who don’t want to use the boring jet black eye liner. The shade is apt to use every day and will suit every skin tones.

Texture, Finish and Pigmentation:  The liner has a super smooth and creamy gel-like texture to it. The texture is smoother than Maybelline gel liner which is a little thicker than this, but it’s more soft and light.  The application is super easy using a brush, does not tug.  The liner dries completely within 60 seconds of application, it’s absolutely okay with me as after setting, it won’t smudge or transfer a bit above the crease area. The liner doesn’t chip off, but if you rub your eyes vigorously, the color from that area could fade away. Make sure not to layer the liner, as it won’t dry quickly and that can make it transfer.  The liner has slightly glossy finish to it, not completely matte, neither has any kind of metallic sheen. The liner is superbly pigmented; it’s just awesome; a single swipe can give the true color on the lids.

Longevity: The liner lasted on me for 6 -7+ hours, without fading or smudging a bit. After 7 hours, mild fading can be noticed, the liner needs to be removed with a remover.  The liner is completely waterproof.

Pros of Coloressence Long Wear Dark Brown Gel Eyeliner:

• The color is a pretty matte brown, without any kind of shimmer.
• Texture is super smooth, better than other gel eyeliners.
• Glides like butter on the eyelids.
• Packaging is plastic type, but I consider it travel friendly because it’s lightweight.
• Pigmentation is very thick, superb.
• The liner has slightly glossy sheen to it.
• Staying power is superb, lasts up to 7+ hours, without fading or smudging a bit.
• The liner is completely waterproof.
• Price is reasonable for the quality.
• The liner won’t chip or crumble.
• The liner dries pretty quickly, but better wait for 60 seconds of application.

Cons of Coloressence Long Wear Dark Brown Gel Eyeliner:

The brush can be a little uncomfortable to use, but just perfect to draw a thick line, but the pointed tip can hurt your eyes.

Some may find the packaging cheap, but it’s break resistant and lightweight.

The liner needs to be removed with a remover; otherwise it’s going to last for the whole day.

Would I Recommend Coloressence Long Wear Dark Brown Gel Eyeliner?

Yes, definitely, I will recommend this gel eye liner to everyone. Office going beauties should have at least one shade from this range.  It lasts very long without fading or smudging. So beauties go and grab it.
