IMBB Sponsored Product Review
Hi Beautiful IMBBians,
Hope all of you are in the pink of your health and enjoying the winters! Today, I am here to share my views on Caudalie Vinexpert Eye and Lip Serum, my dream gift from IMBB. I just can’t thank you enough sanjeev Sir and Rati along with team IMBB for all those beautiful moments which I experienced in my life every now and then ever since I have joined IMBB, and now for this innovative gift idea. I also feel touched and happy to see your reminder mails (team IMBB mails) at times when I am too busy with my responsibilities and could not stay in touch with IMBB. However, I can go silent on IMBB, but never stay away from such a blessing! I always feel my word power becomes so weak and short at times when I actually need words to open up my heart! Well before, I feel overwhelmed, let’s move onto this topic – Caudalie Vinexpert Eye and Lip Serum is known to be an effective anti-ageing serum which helps in combating eye puffiness and firming skin. Let’s see how this Caudalie Vinexpert Eye and Lip Serum worked on my skin in these 7 weeks 🙂
Collagen is protein and is made up of long chains of amino acids strung together, like chains of linked building blocks. When it is broken down, short segments of 3-5 amino acids form, called peptides. Peptides are not just junk collagen; these “mini proteins” are active molecules. Applying peptides directly to skin is a way to trick our skin into thinking that it has lost collagen recently and needs to make more. The most popular signal peptide for cosmetic use is palmitoyl pentapeptide (matrixyl). It can be found in many peptide skin products and might be effective in improving the appearance of fine lines. Copper peptides also seem to promote collagen production and act as antioxidants. They are needed for natural healing and regeneration of skin and to help remove damaged collagen. Peptides infused creams are often expensive. Resveratrol: The new generation of vine Resveratrol stimulates collagen and elastin production and stops glycation, responsible for wrinkles, at its source.
The eye expert, upon application, this treatment reduces puffiness, tightens, and diminishes fine lines around the eye contour and lip area. Day after day, skin is firmer, wrinkles are smoothed and chronic puffiness is reduced. It is tested for use on the eyelids and lip line area. Apply morning and evening, to eye contour and lip area. A fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, ophthalmologist tested for all skin types.

This eye and lip serum comes in a small plastic sturdy bottle with pump dispenser cap. A transparent safety cap is additional for avoiding spillage or leakage. A complete classy and travel-friendly packaging in my opinion. The fluid is dirty white in color with slight runny texture which makes it easy to massage around delicate eye area.
My Experience with Caudalie Vinexpert Eye and Lip Serum:
Let me tell you, I have oily skin which is a favourable place for zits and acne; however, I have heard that oily skin has delayed onset of ageing lines which does not hold that true in my case as I can see fine lines around my eyes and under the eyes. Blame it on my careless skin care routine (during my pregnancy and post delivery) or my habit of sleeping on my stomach, which is so harmful for delicate skin. However, these fine lines are only confined to my eyes as of now, but believe me, when you start noticing those nasty lines, you just concentrate on your laugh, smiles, and facial expressions rather than anything 😛 Moreover, many things became really bothersome when I actually started noticing fine lines of every person talking or sitting next to me and wondering if it happens with everyone irrespective of age 😛 Finally, I decided to opt for eye creams unlike what I used to believe that those were meant for mummies or aunties 😛 I started my anti-ageing eye care with Caudalie Premier Cru Cream, which really helped me in combating early signs of ageing, but Caudalie products are high end. Thankfully, IMBB gifted me Caudalie Vinexpert Eye and Lip Serum, which is solving some of my issues, but I am still not impressed by this highly-priced serum. It’s been almost 2 months since I have started using this eye serum religiously every am/pm except for a few days when I was really lazy to jump out of my warm bed. I started using this serum around 5th of October last month and to my surprise; my first few weeks were not much fruitful post usage of this serum as I could hardly observe any visible difference. This serum worked well on my eye area, but it did nothing for fine lines which were my real concerns. I have heard that every anti-ageing cream/serum takes time to show results, hence I waited for 7 long weeks to get results and summarize it for you.
For the first 3 weeks, I only observed that this serum helped me in waking up with fresh, non-puffy eyes unlike days when I used to have puffy eyes due to over-consumption of rice. Yes gals, I don’t know why I always get puffy eyes the very next day of eating rice, it’s a mystery for me. Thankfully, I don’t have to sacrifice my love for rice as this serum takes care of puffy eyes very well, but then, it’s nothing special as my Caudalie Premier Cru Cream also used to do the same and it is slightly cheaper than this serum. Secondly, I also noticed that even if I use the tiniest drop of serum, it gives kind of an oily and shiny cast around the eyes post massaging. Since I usually stay at home, it worked well for me, but I wonder why working women will like it when there are other eye creams/serums in the market which have matte effect. The serum feels light and assimilates easily on skin though. Moreover, rest of my concerns were as it is, that patch of fine lines under my right eye was as usual prominent apart from visibly light crow feet lines.
Well, 3 weeks passed on in dilemma and finally I came to my first conclusion that this serum is just like any serum which moisturizes and softens eye area. Of course, it helps with combating puffy eyes, but nothing impressive like investing 75 dollars for a slow result. Moreover, I always noticed that for a moment after massaging, the fine lines felt diminished and I felt a youthful makeover, but when I used to check my face in mirror after an hour or so, these lines would reappear. It was really irritating to notice these lines even after weeks of following a disciplined CTM routine! I expected a long-term cure for my skin rather than a spot treatment which hardly lasts for an hour.
Next 3 weeks were decisive, I noticed crow feet lines were slowly smoothing and fairly diminishing which was a permanent effect this time. I used to notice my face every hour after massaging this serum on my skin and every time the results were the same – smooth and diminished lines. It certainly helped with smoothing and also preventing future lines and kind of permanently, though slowly, but I feel every good eye cream/serum does the same, isn’t it? I haven’t noticed any signs of ageing around my lips, but still I use this serum around the lips and it takes care of those dry patches around my lips. I would say this serum came kind of midway for me, neither it proved to be a bad product because it never broke me, nor did it prove to be the best as I can still notice light patch of fine lines under my right eye. I mean I agree that it is not a magic wand to transform my skin overnight, but still I can get the same effect with natural ingredients in many drugstore or other brands which may come at half the price. Then, why should I spend almost 100 dollars for such results?
Overall, I feel, since it is a gift for me, I am pretty okay with its slow effects on my skin, but I wouldn’t consider getting it again once I am done with it!
Let’s sum up the pros and cons:
Pros of Caudalie Vinexpert Eye and Lip Serum:
- A lightweight serum to combat eye bags and puffy eyes effectively from day one.
- Naturally derived ingredients and formulated with less synthetic chemicals.
- A tiny drop goes a long way.
- A small bottle will last almost half a year.
- It smooths fine lines and fairly diminishes them, but one needs to be patient enough to see the results.
- It also helps in preventing future lines apart from smoothing existing lines up to some extent.
- It is gentle enough to suit most sensitive skin.
- It is a fragrance-free product.
Cons of Caudalie Vinexpert Eye and Lip Serum:
- I actually waited 2 long months before arriving to a fair conclusion which is a pretty long time.
- It will not completely diminish deep lines and a few fine lines even after 2 months of regular usage, I can still notice that patch near my right eye.
- The price is the biggest con for its average effectiveness.
- It gives a slightly oily cast even after massaging the serum deep down into the skin.
I would say this serum works best for those beauties who have not yet noticed any alarming signs of ageing on their skin and just want a soothing, effective remedy for puffy eyes/eye bags and fairly working eye serum to delay onset of lines further and people including me who are all set with first signs of ageing, it is better to opt for a more effective serum to combat existing lines and prevent further ageing as well! So think and choose wisely 🙂
