My Experience with China Glaze Fifth Avenue Nail Lacquer:

I have been eyeing a lot of nail polishes recently, so whenever I am free I keep on browsing various brands and shades and while doing this I have a couple of shades in my mind that I want to get *drool* but as you know there are limited number of options in India. This in my first cream polish as previously I always loved shimmer and mild glitters on my nails. The website does have a good range of colours and I am sure everyone could find a one which they like as they have subtle natural shades, browns, pinks, corals, reds, blues, greens etc. Though it’s a bit difficult to buy nail polish without seeing the swatch yourself but during my online shopping I heavily rely on online swatches.

I was looking for a dusty pink nail colour since a long time but I came across none that I could like so when I spotted this shade online I just looked for some images of the polish online to get a fair idea about how it looks like, many of you would agree with me that a lot of nail polish look different on the bottle and on the nails so I tried to avoid such a misadventure. The colour to me looks like a mix of brown, purple and pink and has a very creamy texture as you can see in the pics plz forgive my clumsily done nails 🙁 I applied the Sally Hansen Ultimate shield base coat after cleaning my previous polish and I was surprised by the China Glaze fifth avenue opacity in just one coat… yoo-hoo!! China Glaze uses china clay in their nail polish which is a nail hardener. The bottle and the brush are signature China Glaze type.

The brush length is good and has good control when you apply the polish. Since I had to take pics I applied two coats for more depth but you can easily get away with just one, but one golden rule with this polish that you must follow is to take just the right amount of polish in the brush or it could seriously ruin your manicure. In my pics I have not applied any top coat but still you could notice that the nail polish is very glossy on its own. The drying time is amazing and wear time is even better I got 4 days of chip free wear without a top coat.I love the colour on my fingernails and toes, it’s a very non offensive shade and you could easily wear this to work or college. This colour has been called a grand mommy colour in a few reviews but I don’t agree as on the first place I never saw any of my grand moms wear nail polish and secondly you look like a grandma when you are a grandma LOL 😉 why do people love to brand products with age, skin colour etc. it’s such a medieval mind-set.
