Clarins lip oil is my holy grail lip treatment and I absolutely love Clarins skin care and I have been wanting to try the lip balm perfector for ages now. Lip balm perfector comes in a variety of shades (Rosewood), and I picked up the brightest ones since I have pigmented lips and I wanted the colour to show up on my lips. The shades that I picked up were “Orange” and “Red.” I do wish Clarins comes up with better names đ Anyway, let’s get into the review of the shade “05 Red.”

My Experience with Clarins Instant 04 Orange Light Lip Balm Perfector:
Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector comes housed in a clutch-friendly, slim tube with colour coordinating tube body. It feels quite heavy and luxe to touch. The name of the brand product and shade name are all printed around the body of the tube, the cap is a light metal cap. Overall, the packaging is quite simple and elegant.
This lip perfector reminds me a lot of sugar lip treatment balms, but much better. This lip balm by Clarins which offers hydration, nourishment and comfort with a burst of color. It’s perfect to throw into your purse and reapply without a mirror. The instant lip balm perfector has a slip to it and it’s very creamy and glides on the lips very easily.
It provides a sheer wash of color with a hint of shine making lips look plump, hydrated and juicy. The colour does last for 4 hours without eating or drinking.
“Orange 04” is a warm-toned orange that would look good on all skin tones and also adjusts according to the colour of the lips. It feels very hydrating, comfortable, and lightweight on the lips throughout the wear time.
Clarins claims 4 hours of wear time, but I got 5 to 6 hours without eating or drinking. This balm definitely doesn’t survive meals and would definitely need reapplication, but I love how they make my lips look and feel good while they are on.
Fresh lip treatments do stain my lips but this feels very comfortable and hydrating and it’s on the lips and I wouldn’t mind reapplying. Also, the scent of this balm is very sweet, which I personally love. I would totally pick up more shades that they come in the future.
