Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss 01 Apricot
Hi beauties,
How are all of you? I have not been around much off late owing to my hectic schedule but who can stay away from IMBB for long ? Well, here I am back with the review of one of my current favourites which is a lip gloss from Clinique. Please read on to find out more about this product.
Product being reviewed: Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss
Shade: 01 Apricot
Ingredients: I have thrown the outer carton so I don’t know the ingredients 😛
Product Claims: Lip balm with a colourful twist. Luscious, high-gloss shades treat your most under moisturized skin to soothing shine. Instantly relieve dryness, protect with antioxidants and more.
Price : Around INR 1000
My take on Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss
Packaging: It comes in a plastic tube which has a slant applicator. The slant applicator gives better control while applying the gloss on the contours. It has a unique steel finish screw cap which is tight on the tube. The tube is transparent and will be easily located in the vanity case. The packaging is cute, sturdy and travel friendly.
Colour: Though the name says apricot and seems to be a peachy pink shade but on the lips it comes out as a totally clear gloss, not even a hint of the colour.
Fragrance: All Clinique products are devoid of any fragrance which makes me a super fan of this brand. This gloss being no exception has no flavour or fragrance.
Consistency: This gloss is semi thick and is the least sticky. Though it has a fairly good consistency but it does not feel heavy on the lips at all.
Efficacy: I think in one line I would say, “It does what it claims” It is super moisturising on the lips and does not bleed . It provides a pretty sheen to the lips and they look glossy for a good 2-3 hours. College goers and working women will love it alike for the glossiness.
Summarising the pros and cons.
Pros of Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss
1. Not at all sticky despite being a semi thick gloss.
2. Makes lips look more glossy .
3. Provides a beautiful sheen to the lips.
4. Stays for a good 2-3 hours.
5. It does not have any artificial fragrance or flavour.
6. The packaging is travel friendly. Slant applicator is an added advantage.
7. The transparent tube makes it easier to locate in the vanity case.
8. It is also allergy tested so wont be a problem for sensitive skin.
Cons of Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss
1. Some people may find it expensive ( though pricing can not be a con as luxury doesn’t come with a price tag)
2. I wish it showed some colour on the lips.
Do I recommend Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss/ Will I repurchase Clinique Superbalm moisturising Gloss?
Yes for both, I am in love with this clear gloss.
