My take on the Gold gel liner:
I am in love with the gel liners these days and in a mood of collecting many different shades for the same. Being an Indian, I love gold and the color too and have an opinion that golden eye shadow, or liner is a must have item in one’s vanity case. :haanji: I do have nice golden eye shadows but as my love for gel liners is growing day by day so I thought of getting a golden liner too. I tried the pencil liners first as gel liners in golden are difficult to find and ended up buying the NYX gold eye pencil but that is too light for my liking. Then I eyed the Colorbar I glide pencil in gold but that too is a little lighter in shade than what I desired.
So when I saw my very own dear Nupur selling this golden gel liner on FB, I did not take much time to decide and buy it from her at a reasonable price of 250 (20/- for shipping). :-*
The shade is exactly what I wanted it to be. It is a pigmented metallic golden color gel liner and has a smooth texture so it’s easy to apply. I have used it both as an eye liner and an e/s to cover my lid and it does a nice job in both cases. Though it is in gel form yet it dries up to give a nice powder finish which looks more glamorous than using the normal golden e/s.
The color is much pigmented and one needs just a single coat of application. It is completely waterproof so don’t worry about it smudging or fading away in the rains too. I have used it as an e/s alone without any base or even concealer and found almost the same intensity of the color even after 6 hours of application with no creasing.
For me the packaging is quite ordinary but the product and the results got are good so I am happy to get it. It’s difficult to put your finger even in the small top of the pot so hygiene is automatically maintained as one needs a brush only to apply it. The gel liner takes little time to set so you will get enough time to set or blend it properly. One can use their fingers or even a brush to easily blend this liner on to the lid.
Pros of the CS gold gel eye liner:
• A true metallic golden color.
• Good pigmentation and one coat give a nice color.
• Dries up really quickly.
• Is completely waterproof.
• Is smudge proof and does not fade easily.
• Lasts for 7 hours and more with very little fading of the color.
• Cheap.
• A wide variety of shades to choose from. Actually Coastal scents offers 25 shades in total for gel liners.
• Can be a really good base for eye shadows.
• Gets removed using any makeup remover or a good cleanser without leaving any chunky glitter behind.
• It does not irritate the eyes even on entering the eyes by fault while applying.
Cons of the CS Gold gel liner:
• Simple unattractive packaging.
• You require a separate eye liner brush for applying it.
• Can dry up easily if lid not closed tightly.
• Better keep the box in an upward down position.

Recommend: It is a true golden color gel liner. So those who prefer cheap gel liners and that too in a variety of colors then Coastal scents do offer a decent option which can be tried.
