Hello girls!
There was a time when I did know how utilise time in a constructive way but thanks to BLOG_O_THERAPY now I use it constructively! One of the things that I do to look good is nail art! Most of you might agree that whenever you see a girl brush her hair with her finger tips, first thing you will notice is her nail color or the nail art she has! So this is a random article about the nail polish remover & my amateurish nail art. 🙂 ! I will first talk about the nail polisher remover & then the nail art!
Colorbar Nail Polish Remover
The only nail polish remover I have been using for years is Lakme, but when I saw the colorbar nail polish remover I thought of giving it a try but I’m disappointed after using this!
Price of Colorbar nail polish remover– Rs 50 for 30 ml
Cons of Colorbar Nail Polish Remover
- There is no ingredients list.
- The nail polish doesn’t get removed in one swipe, so I end up using a large amount of this!
- This when used completely dries my skin around the nails & leaves a white cast & the nails look dull.
This has high level of acetone & that could be reason why my nails end up looking dry & it smells so strong.
The Lakme Nail polish remover is priced Rs 49 & the Colorbar Nail polish remover is for Rs50 but it’s not worth that 1 Rupee extra for the disappointed job it does!
Pros of Colorbar Nail Polish remover
- This has a plastic stopper with a small hole to control the amount needed!
***FinaIy I’m going back to my Lakme nail polish remover because that seems to be little gentle on my nails!***
SIMPLE NAIL-ART
Apologies for this clumsy job that I have done,this is my first attempt! BUT I’m happy my guy
( Fiance)admired this!
So this is how created this simple & pretty design!
Step 1: Moisturize your hands & if needed push back the cuticles! I haven’t used a base coat but if you wish you could use it!
Step 2: I took a sello tape, cut it into a small piece & stuck it on my hand 2-3 times to make sure most of the glue is gone & fixed it on half of the finger. Do this for all the fingers! We are doing this to make two partitions on the nail! In this picture the other nail has got some mehendi on it, please don’t think that it’s some weird disease 😉
Step3: I applied pink shimmer nail polish on the other half of the nail without the tape, if the nail polish gets on the sello tape it is not going to be problem because we will be taking off the tape anyways. Let this painted part of the nail dry!
Step 4: Now remove the sello tape slowly to avoid messing up & fix the same sello tape to the pink painted part which is dry & apply white nail color to the other half & let it dry as well!
Step 5: After the white nail color dries, take off the sello tape ! Now take a small pin or tooth-pick & dip it in the pink shimmer nail color that we have already used & draw vertical lines on the white colored part! My hands were little shaky that the reason the lines are messy!
Step 6: Now after this dries, apply a top coat & we are done!
This time I haven’t shown you the pictures of the products used but I promise I’ll come up with a nice design next time with good pictures!

i have tried both the removers, street wear remover is much better , its some 70-75 Rs, maybe you could try that ..

Caliiiii Thankooooo! Its good to take an off sometimes from the hectic schedule! You should have taken off on friday, that way it would have been 3 days off( including Sat & sunday) :waiting:
