My Experience with Colorbar Perfect Match Beauty Balm with SPF 20:

I was searching for Colorbar Perfect Match BB cream since the day it was launched in India. I searched all online sites daily but couldn’t find it. Finally, I got a chance to go to a Colorbar store and I rushed into it and asked for their BB cream. I was so desperate to try this that I just chose the shade which I wanted and bought it without worrying about its texture or anything else. I was on Cloud 9. 😛 I have been using it daily since 10 days and finally, I am ready to write its review.

Colorbar Perfect Match BB cream comes in a broad, inverted white and skin colored tube with a silver lid. The shade name is written on the lid. Both the carton and the tube don’t mention about the ingredients in detail. It just mentions that it doesn’t have parabens and it has botanicals and antioxidants. It has SPF 20 in it. I think it comes in three shades. I chose the shade “001 Vanilla Crème.” The medium shade was named as Honey Glaze. The SA wanted me to buy Honey Glaze, but I chose Vanilla Crème and I am so glad I chose it because it matches my skin tone perfectly. Those with yellow skin tones like mine should opt for Vanilla Crème rather than Honey Glaze.

I have extremely oily and acne-prone skin. L’Oreal true match BB cream and Lakme CC Cream made my skin oily within 3 hours and since I never get the time and place to do touch ups, I stopped using those and thought I would use them in winters. Colorbar Perfect Match BB cream is amazing for oily skin. It keeps my skin oil free for about 5-6 hours and even after 5 hours, only my T zone gets oily. It didn’t break me out. You know, Garnier BB cream broke me very badly. I kept fighting with disgusting, painful, pus filled acne for about 10 days after using the Garnier BB cream. So, I am really glad this one didn’t break me out. Since this BB cream is almost matte, dry skinned ladies need to apply a moisturiser beneath it. It stays on the face for almost the entire day. I can see BB cream on cotton when I cleanse my face in the night.

Colorbar Perfect Match Beauty Balm 5

Colorbar Perfect Match BB cream blends like a mousse on my skin. It spreads very evenly and smoothly on my face. It doesn’t settle into pores or lines. It gives a very sheer coverage. It just blurs the pimples, blemishes and under eye circles. So, if you apply a concealer daily, you can’t skip it with this cream. It gives a very natural, glowing look to my face and feels very light on the face. It doesn’t melt with sweat. Well, this cream claims to repair the skin as well, but I didn’t notice any such change in my skin. Maybe, 10 days are too less to comment on it.

  1. I can’t thank you enough for this review. Perfect timing this! I’ve been thinking of buying a bb cream and after a lot of googling,I short listed this one since it seems perfect for oily and acne prone skin. Garnier broke me out too. Even the maybelline bb stick broke me out. I’m just a little concerned about the shade. Can you tell me which one is the lightest? And does it have yellow or pink undertones? Waise toh I will take help from the SA but I don’t think they can relied upon blindly..
And thank you so so so much for the review. 😀

    1. Awww…. most welcome nandini *puchhi* yeah this one suited me well.. garnier one to I dumped in dustbin.. I hated it so much after it broke me *cry* the shade I bought is the lightest shade nandini. Its vanilla creme. U can see the swatch in the review. It has yellow tones. 🙂
