My experience with Colorbar Perfect Match Primer :
I wanted to try this new primer from Colorbar since the day I came to know about it, but I wasn’t sure if I should get this because it wasn’t reviewed. I remained in dilemma for a long time but finally my control was lost in front of my greed and here I am with this primer.
This primer comes in an inverted, sleek white bottle with a nozzle. The packaging is quite attractive, light weight and perfect for travel purposes. I couldn’t have asked for a better packaging.
This primer is in the form of a transparent gel which gets blended and absorbed on my skin very easily. I love the way it makes my skin super soft and smooth. Though I don’t see any major difference in my skin texture immediately after applying it, it definitely smoothens out the fine lines and uneven texture and gives a glow to my face after sometime. I have L’Oreal base Magique Transforming smooth primer and in terms of results, I don’t think there’s any difference between the two.
The quantity required for a single application is quite less and it will easily last for a long time. It doesn’t hide my acne scars but tones them out a little. It also tones down the redness of acne. I generally apply this primer 5-7 minutes after applying my moisturizer and then follow it with powder. I love the freshness and glow it gives to my face.
I have applied it beneath my foundation too and the results have been good. The foundation glides on very easily on this primer and lasts for a longer time. It also decreases the oil secretion on my T-zone. Even when applied alone, this primer lasts for quite a long time, for instance I applied it at about five in the evening and right now it’s one and it’s still there on my face.
Overall, I would say it is a good primer, nothing extra ordinary than the other primers available in this range but nothing less too.
I have applied this primer on my hand here:
(You can see that it hides lines)
Pros of Colorbar Perfect Match Primer:
- Spreads and gets absorbed very easily on my face.
- Tones down redness of acne and acne scars.
- Smoothens out the uneven texture and hides the pores and fine lines.
- Gives a glow to face.
- Long lasting power.
- Decreases oiliness in my t zone.
- Increases the staying power of foundation.
- Didn’t break me out.
Cons of Colorbar Perfect Match Primer:
I didn’t find any.
Will I recommend Colorbar Perfect Match Primer?
Yes. If you are looking for a good primer in this range, do give it a try.

nice review surbhi….i have to buy a primer this month…never tried any…i’m so super confused which one to buy.. :/
my first one was from bodyography. i didn’t like it. 🙁 now i have one from loreal n colorbar each and both are equally good. 🙂 i have heard inglot has good primer. Revlon one was reviewed here a few days back. you can check that too 🙂
have been reading reviews on various primers since morning…too diificult to pick one ..just came across that nupur’s reply still awaited for the best primer of 2011 …just for her answer i scrolled down the entire conversation …nupur plz plz plzzzzzzz help!!
me too….read almost all reviews on primers and am sooper confused…..clarins/NYX/bourjois ???? heard that TBS vitamin C cream also acts as a primer/base and is quite good too…wish Nupur finally gives us an answer 🙂
btw colorbar one too seems to be pretty good….thanks for the review Surbhi….
is it ok to use a face primer on eyes or shall i buy a primer specifically for eyes aswell?? suggestion please 🙂
if you do eye make up regularly Misha, you should get a separate primer for eyes. it will decrease the creasing n fading of eyeshadow 🙂
Liked its gel like texture. Definitely Getting this. thanks for the review. is it Also Available online

Hiiiii….I have really oily skin…..the kind of oily where make up simply melts in an hour or so! Can I use this? Will this stay on my face???
