Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick – Matina
Everyone including my husband, you girls in IMBB, and myself are getting bored of my natural lipstick shades. The other day I tried explaining the huge color differences between each of them to my husband by trying them on and showing him one by one. Everything looked the same to him! I got disappointed and stopped halfway through. So, I thought I will get myself some bright colors for this summer and look what I got. It’s “Matina” from the Soft Touch range of Colorbar.

The shade shown on the official site is no-where close to what the color actually is!! “Matina” is deep rose with slight red undertones. So, please do not buy Colorbar lipsticks online without looking at the actual swatches fist. The color really stands out on the lips. I don’t think you can wear this shade to the college or office, but it’s a lovely color to wear with sarees and at functions.
Texture:
The lipstick is hightly pigmented. One swipe completely covers the lip pigmentation and gives an intense color. The lipstick glides easily on the lips and is very moisturizing. The texture is creamy, but it does not settle into fine lines. It makes the lips appear full and juicy without emphasizing the fine lines. Compared to Colorbar’s Full Finish Long Wear Lipsticks and Velvet Matte lipsticks, which emphasize the dry lip portions and fine lines on the lips, these Soft Touch Lipsticks are superior to them in terms of moisturisation and finish. Staying power is good and it can withstand small meals in between. On me, it stayed for around 4 hours with snacks. Once it starts fading, it looks semi-matte and leaves a tint for a long time.
The lipstick is so pigmented that it stains my teeth in the initial half an hour. It even makes your spit pink if you happen to spit in between. 😛 That really got me worried as to how much lipstick I would have swallowed. If you blot the lipstick lightly, it gives you a matte look which is highly pigmented. Almost as if you have painted your lips with a permanent marker pen. It has a very faint smell which fades away after a few minutes itself and does not have any particular taste also.
Pros of Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick – Matina:
- Highly pigmented and covers the lip pigmentation in single swipe.
- Texture is creamy and glides easily on the lips.
- Moisturizing and hence you can skip a lip balm.
- Makes your lips look full and juicy and does not emphasize the fine lines much.
- Staying power is good; about 4 hours and small snacks in between.
- You can use it as a lip stain by blotting it lightly soon after applying the lipstick.
- Does not flake unlike the Velvet Matte lipsticks on my lips.
- Even after fading, it leaves a tint for a long time.
- Did not bleed or settle into the fine lines.
- Not heavily scented.
Cons of Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick – Matina:
- Stains your teeth initially for around one hour after applying.
- The cap does not have a see-through portion which makes it difficult for spotting the colors.
- The color “Matina” is little too bright for wearing it to office or college.
- Since it is very creamy, it is easily transferrable to cups and other things.

Yes. This lipstick is moisturizing, highly pigmented, good staying power, covers lip pigmentation in a single swipe, and gives you full-looking lips and at a price of Rs. 325, you can safely try one from this range.

Yes Sukanya..It brightens up the whole look.. You should try one from this range..I liked them more than the velvet matte and full finish ranges from colorbar. 🙂
