I recently picked up two blushes from Coloressence, and I love both of them. Today’s review is going to be on Coloressence Satin Smooth High Lighter Blush in the shade ‘SH-8’. Let’s get into the review.
Price: Rs. 250/- for 5g
My Experience with Coloressence Satin Smooth High Lighter Blusher SH-8:
Packaging: This blush comes in a small cardboard box and the actual blush is placed in a cute black container with a clear screw cap. It looks pretty and is easy to carry. But, it doesn’t have any mirror and also it doesn’t come with a brush applicator. But, the quantity provided is really good. I totally love it.
Shade: This blush range offers so many beautiful shades; I picked up SH-5 and SH-8. SH-8 is a gorgeous fuchsia pink shade with neutral undertones. This shade looks bright and fresh on the cheeks; still it has a natural dusky tone in it that prevents it from looking OTT. This shade will suit almost every skin tone. It has that glam look in it. It doesn’t have any shimmers in it which is really a nice thing. This shade is super pigmented, hence you need to apply with a light hand for natural-looking application. I require only a single swipe and proper blending for the blush to look good.
Texture and Quality: Its super soft and creamy texture blends smoothly on my skin. It is not very powdery so it glides easily and gives a perfect, even finish on skin. It is so easy to blend the color on skin. It never looks patchy or chalky. It feels so soft on skin and never highlights dry patches. It also feels very light and layering doesn’t make it look cakey.
It never clogs my pores. It doesn’t make skin dry; in fact, it suits my oily skin perfectly. It has a perfect velvety-matte finish which looks flawless on skin. If you don’t like shimmers, this one is a nice option for you. I really like the quality. It doesn’t break me out. The brand claims that it is a ‘high lighter’ blush, but I didn’t notice any highlighting effect on my cheeks. This one is a nice matte blush, that’s it.
Staying power: The blush stays on for a decent time period on my oily skin. It stays for almost 4-5 hours and looks faded after that. With a primer, the staying power can be increased. It never moves from its place and doesn’t smudge. It also doesn’t transfer a lot from face.
Overall: This is such a beautiful pink shade that gives a natural-looking, soft finish. I really like to try new shades, and this one is a super affordable option. It works best with an angled blush brush. Make sure you don’t use a lot of product at once as this super pigmented shade can give you clown-cheeks. Overall, I love it!
