ColourPop released their Blotted lips with the Alexis Ren collection. They recently added more shades to this range. I have also reviewed a few of their newly-released ultra-blotted lips (Doozy, Slide, Out of Beach). Today, I will be reviewing the shade ColourPop blotted lips in the shade “Candy Floss.” So, let’s see how this lipstick fared for me.

My Experience with ColourPop Candy Floss Blotted Lip:
Packaging: The Blotted lips Candy Floss comes in a matte white lipstick tube with silver holographic writing on the side –ColourPop Blotted Lip. The bottom of the lipstick specifies the name “Candy Floss.” The product comes in a white cardboard box. The lipstick has a white cap which clicks when shut. The packaging is very lightweight and travel friendly. The lipstick easily fits in my clutch due to its slender thin packaging. The size of the blotted lipstick is smaller than their regular lippie stix.
Texture and Application: The concept of the blotted lips is to achieve the look when you apply a lipstick and blot it with a tissue. The blotted lips are like lip stains or lip balm which is lightweight in texture and you can wear it for a more natural look. The texture of the blotted lips is matte. There is a bit of tugging and pulling while applying the lipstick. Even though it’s a matte lipstick, it’s not drying and is very comfortable to wear. There is no fragrance to the lipstick which is good. This lipstick does transfer on to cups but it wears out quite evenly.
Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a ‘warm terracotta’ and it is a beautiful warm orangey brown lipstick. Terracotta is one of my favourite colors. It is a perfect wearable shade for every day. You can rock this shade to work too. This shade will suit light to medium Indian skin tones. The blotted lips gives me natural-looking lips which I love.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is not super pigmented. If you like a sheer wash of colour, you just swipe the lipstick once. If you want it to be more opaque, you can swipe the lipstick multiple time till you get the coverage you desire.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 5 hours. The lipstick actually survives meals and fades away evenly.
Overall, I am really happy with the color payoff, texture, and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
