This is the very first review of this brand, ColourPop Cosmetics, on IMBB. This brand started last year around March-April and now its craze has spread like a wildfire. Some vloggers recommended these Super Shock Shadows and so I had to get them. It started with the U.S only shipping policy and now it has become an international brand which ships to the U.S, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Soon, worldwide shipping will be available too. Now, let’s move on to the review!
Party (almost) naked in this neutral light beige eyeshadow with a warm satin finish. Wear alone for an ultra-natural bare look or pair with the most intense shades in your makeup arsenal.
Enigmatic metallic gunmetal with lots of silver glitter and flips of pink and violet sparkle. Dress to the nines, pop on some lashes and consider yourself decked.

My Experience with ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadow in Truth, Deck:
Each shadow comes in a white jar with a deep screw cap. The reason behind this is the formula contains something, which if exposed to air will evaporate. That is why such tight packaging is needed. On top there is a transparent window through which shade is visible and ‘ColourPop’ is written on it. Transparent plastic is quite secure and would not come off easily during travel.
At the back, the weight details and shade name are mentioned. The amount of the product is 2.1 grams each, which is quite an amount of product. The jar does not contain any mirror or applicator. Packaging is quite sturdy, secure and travel friendly.
Texture and pigmentation are the two main unique selling points of these eye shadows. They are cream shadows with a cushion like texture. It is hard to explain, but great to feel! The product in the jar is wet, but upon application it dries. When you touch the product and press it, you get your fingerprints on the product. It is that soft and moldable.
In the pictures, you can see that I have pressed my fingers on both the products and there are little impressions on the shadows. Texture, otherwise, is comparable to any high-end shadow – smooth, silky, butterlike with no fall out at all.
Pigmentation is awesome! The shade ‘Truth’ is a rose gold color closer to my skin shade and ‘Deck’ is dark gray. Both are shimmery. ‘Truth’ has satin finish and ‘Deck’ has metallic finish. There is no chunky glitter in both the eye shadows.
In the photographs, you will see that both blend quite well. Blending has to be done fast as they set quickly. Both eye shadows stain the area they were applied on. ‘Truth’ is hardly visible after blending as it is closer to my skin tone, but ‘Deck’ shines on right there. Truth can act as a highlighter too for my skin tone. Both the eye shadows are easily buildable for more intensity.
Staying power is comparable to any high-end shadows. These shadows DO NOT need any primer whether oily or dry eyelids. Will stay for more than 12 hours straight. Do not bother to touch up, apply setting spray or layer to increase longevity. Without these also shadows will work fine. The one and only precaution needed is to KEEP THE LID CLOSED TIGHTLY or else there whole unique selling point will be lost.
Pros of ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadow in Truth, Deck:
• Great pigmentation
• Awesome staying power
• Very nice packaging
• Texture unbeatable
• Good amount of product for the price
Cons of ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadow in Truth, Deck:
Would I Recommend ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadow in Truth, Deck?
The only reason I have gives these 4.9 out of 5 is because I am not able to purchase them right now. Truth is an everyday natural color and Deck is a party time color to create smokey eyes. If you can buy them, please do so. You will stop using other eyeshadows. Now they have so many other options I wish I could buy more stuff. Do give some a try!
