My Experience with Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop:

I have previously used another Vitamin C product. But, I did not repurchase it because of the texture of the product and the stickiness it gave after applying. So, I decided to start using this vitamin C product from Klairs.
I have been a fan of their few other products and so, I believed this will work well too.

This product contains pure vitamin C in the form of L-Ascorbic acid. L-ascorbic acid is the form of vitamin c that I said to be the most potent, but at the same time very unstable. Unstable means that once you start using the product, you have to prevent it from harsh light and air and it is mostly advised to keep it in the refrigerator. This vitamin C product is supposedly a stabilized one as claimed by the company and need not be refrigerated.

Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Review Bottle

This product comes in a clear transparent bottle though most vitamin c products come in dark glass bottles. I think the brand wanted to prove their stabilized claim in the packaging itself and kept it transparent!

The serum is a clear serum, and a little bit oily on application, though it is not an oil. But, it dries to a soft finish after a few minutes. Before using this product, I first patch tested it and started slowly by adding it twice a week, and now I have been using it almost daily in the morning. The brand says it can be used twice a day, but since I prefer to use my AHA or BHA in the evening, I use it in the morning along with a good sunscreen.

This serum contains 5% of vitamin c which is very minimal, and so it will not be irritating to a beginner. It also contains centellaasiatica extract, which is very good for soothing acne and clearing out the blemishes.

I have been using this product for more than a month and after this, I can say that it had just started working. When I first started using, it did not show any miraculous effects other than a little hydration and taking care of the dryness. But, it gave an immediate glow whenever I used it.

Now, I can see visible difference in my blemishes and I have stopped breaking out. Previously, I had severe acne and even after clearing it up, I will break out occasionally. But for the past few weeks, my skin looks abnormally clear without any tiny red bumps. Hopefully, it continues to prevent the monsters from showing their head. Also, the area around my nose where it will be oily has also become less oily.

Overall, this is a good product for starting with vitamin c and if you can wait for a few weeks to see the results. But regarding its claims on hyperpigmentation and textural changes, it hasn’t done any!

Pros of Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop:

  • A good product to start using vitamin C.
  • Can be used both AM and PM.
  • Doesn’t get oxidized soon, and no need to keep it in the refrigerator.
  • It helped in reducing the frequency of acne occurrence.
  • Helped in clearing out the congested pores.
  • When applied, it gives an immediate glow to the face because of its oily nature.
  • Sensitive enough to be used around eye area.

Cons of Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop:

  • Takes a long time to start showing the effects.
  • When applied, it feels oily at first and takes some time to get absorbed.
  • Not much helped with hyperpigmentation or old acne scars even after more than a month of regular usage!
