Elizabeth Arden First Defense Advanced Anti-Oxidant Lotion Review

Elizabeth Arden First Defense Advanced Anti-Oxidant Lotion Review

Hello Everyone,

This will be a review of my favorite day lotion – the Elizabeth Arden First Defense Advanced Anti-Oxidant Lotion.

Product Claims:

Elizabeth Arden First Defense Advanced Anti-oxidant Lotion is an advanced anti-oxidant cream with SPF 15 that offers optimal protection against the sun. Contains vitamin A, C and E to neutralize free radicals and helps boost your skin’s ability to hold moisture. Promotes a healthy and smooth appearance and is suitable for all skin types. It is especially recommended as an advanced anti-ageing solution for women in their twenties.

INR 2150 for 50 ml.

Suitable for: Dry/Combination skin.

Here is the list of ingredients:

Although it contains parabens, it has the goodness of great antioxidants, like Vitamin C and E.

My Experience with Elizabeth Arden First Defense Advanced Anti-Oxidant Lotion:

I have been using the Elizabeth Arden First Defense Anti-Oxidant Lotion for two years now. I have combination skin with dry cheeks and a breakout-prone T-zone.  This lotion has worked wonders for my skin. It hasn’t led to extra oil on my T zone and has nourished the dry patches creating a much difficult to achieve balance. I love the fact that it is enriched with antioxidants and acts as an early age defense protectant.  It has broad spectrum SPF with both UVA and B protection. Although an SPF of 15 might sound low, it actually has always protected me from getting a tan.  Those who are mostly indoors with short sun time will definitely not be let down, however, for those with prolonged daily sun exposure, the SPF may not be sufficient.

The texture of this lotion is really great and the lotion gets absorbed immediately without leaving any whitish cast. It gives a warm tingling feeling for the first few seconds after application. It imparts a healthy glow to the skin.  Over time, my skin has grown smoother and the blemishes too have lightened.  Another important thing is that it has not led to enlarged pores, which again is no mean feat.

It has a pump packaging which is extremely hygienic and is the key to conserving the antioxidant content. Two pumps of the lotion suffice for the entire face and a little goes a long way, a bottle usually lasts me 3 good months.

I agree it’s a little pricey, but for the benefits, I consider it money well spent 😉 It is easily available at Elizabeth Arden outlets.

Pros of Elizabeth Arden First Defense Advanced Anti-Oxidant Lotion:

  • Strong antioxidant content.
  • Great texture and gets easily absorbed.
  • Doesn’t break me out.
  • Hygienic pump packaging.

Cons of Elizabeth Arden First Defense Advanced Anti-Oxidant Lotion:

  • Contains parabens.
  • Expensive.

IMBB Rating:
