In combination with the I love my brushes cleansing tool, it forms the ultimate duo for keeping your favorite brushes clean! here’s how easy it is: apply a drop of the cleansing gel and a little water on the cleansing tool, and then dip the brush in with circular movements to remove stubborn make-up residues. The nubs of the cleansing tool thoroughly clean the brush and remove any make-up or dirt. Clean tools provide the basis for a flawless complexion.

My Experience with Essence I Love My Brushes Cleansing Gel:
The gel comes in a small white bottle with a screw cap. There is a lot of information on the back of the bottle. The cap closes tightly and doesn’t cause any leakage. The package is travel-friendly and is very convenient to use too. Once you open the cap, there is a stopper with a hole in it through which you can dispense the gel. There are 2 products in the I love My Brushes range and I picked both of them.
The gel is transparent and gel-like in texture. It has a flowy consistency and is very convenient to use. The gel has a weird smell and is off putting. Anyway, this is not a problem as I don’t use it on my face. The smell doesn’t stay long on the brush too. The usage of the product is pretty easy; you can use it on the brush and then rub it on the cleansing tool in circular motions. The product works very well and removes any dirt or makeup residue on the brushes. The product foams very well and helps to remove the residue from inside.
The product works well with all kinds of brushes, but you need to increase the quantity for thicker brushes. While it removes even stubborn makeup, I noticed that for thicker brushes you need to use the gel two times at least to get the residue removed and the same works with sponges too. It takes at least two washes to get the residue completely out of sponges. However, once washed it makes the brush and sponge squeaky clean and very fresh to use.
It doesn’t cause any issues with the shape of the brush and once dried, they do retain their shape back. The product is very good but since it foams a lot, you need to make sure that you wash it with a lot of water to get the entire foamy residue out from the brush or sponge. Overall, it is very affordable and easy to use. I love it and so do my brushes!
