My Experience with Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick – 04 Pink up Your Life:
I bought this lipstick a few months back and it remained unused for a very long time. When I just went through my makeup stash, I came across this lipstick and when I saw that it hasn’t been reviewed yet, I thought of sharing my thoughts about this “04 pink up your life” lipstick from essence.
These matte lipsticks range has about 8 different shades to choose from. Each shade is unique and special in its own way. I can’t get enough of pink lipsticks in my life so, I decided to buy this pretty looking shade for myself among all the other shades. It’s a bright and dark shade of pink and looks stunning after application.
The color is intense and provides full coverage to the lips. This color is quite pigmented and looks very prominent after application. This shade is suitable for all the skin tones and I feel pink is the type of color that compliments all the skin tones.
These are very easy to glide and the texture is creamy. It is very comfortable to wear and doesn’t flake at all. This doesn’t settle in the fine lines of lips either. This lipstick does deliver a super matte finish and the formula isn’t powdery. It moisturizes the lips well and the color is non-drying. Even though it is pigmented, you need to run this lipstick multiple times to achieve the desirable look. Once applied properly on the lips, it doesn’t look patchy afterwards. If you didn’t build enough color by applying more coats, there is a tendency for this one to look patchy. So apparently, a lot of product gets used to achieve the look at one time.
The issue with this lipstick is that it bleeds from the outer corners and does transfer a lot. It smudges a lot and to fix the smudging issue, I’ve got a trick! I always apply matte compact powder on my lips after application and the lipstick does stay on for very long time without smudging. Since it bleeds and transfers a lot, I haven’t used this lipstick much. It was only when I got the lipstick, I enjoyed using it for few days, because I loved the color, after which, it remained lying in the makeup stash just like that.
The staying power is very good. It stays for a very long time without eating anything and fades half of it, when you eat a meal. I don’t recommend this lipstick if you decide to eat something because, it smudges badly after you eat anything and the whole color moves out of the lip line. It looks really bad after that.
The packaging is color-coded and you can make out the shade by looking at its cap and the sticker below, which has a number code. It is a very functional lipstick and so far, I had no issues with its packaging. The cap too locks and unlocks easily. The packaging is very convenient and easy to use.

Do I Recommend Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick – 04 Pink up Your Life?
Yes! It does look stunning after application, but we need to consider the cons as well to take the decision of weather or not to buy this. I recommend this one for the pros I’ve mentioned above and suggest not to go for this lipstick, if you are planning to eat something after application.
