My Experience with Essence My Must Haves Eyeshadow- 02 All I Need:

Packaging: The eye shadow comes in a tiny round black colored plastic pan with a clear lid. The lid bears the brand’s tagline embossed on it like other essence eye shadows, but the packaging of these eye shadow is a bit different from regular essence eye shadow pans. These are comparatively smaller and these pans can be carried along or can be customized in an eye shadow palette as well. This offers a freedom to customize a palette with the eye shadows of your choice, which is travel-friendly as well. The lid of the pan closes nicely, but it does not shut too tightly and may come off while carrying in the makeup pouch. The clear lid helps to spot the shade easily from the makeup stash during rush hours. The back of the pan has a small circular sticker bearing the shade name and number along with other necessary information about the product. These tiny pans are easy to store and can be stacked up easily. It does not come with any applicator, but this is not really a con for me, as I do not prefer using those small sponge applicators attached. Overall, the packaging of the product is fine. These must be packed securely while carrying around. Also, the plastic of the pans seems quite fragile and may break upon falling.

Shade: The shade “All I Need” is a beautiful taupe eye shadow. It is a warm shade with a frosty finish. It has slight silvery finish in it. The eye shadow is loaded with lots of shimmers. These shimmers are so finely milled with eye shadow powder and does not look chunky or OTT. This shade looks lovely as a lid color. In the eye swatch attached below, I have used this shade “All I Need” in the inner half of my eyes and I have applied the shade “Miss Foxy Roxy“, which is also from the same range of essence eye shadow in the outer half of my eyes. For highlighting my inner corner of the eye and brow bone, I have used the shade “Go Goldies”. This is a very pretty soft shade for creating subtle eye makeup looks as well. It looks lovely when worn alone as a lid color and paired with bold lips and winged eyeliner. It is a great choice for people who do not like wearing too dramatic eye makeup. The formula is decently pigmented and it takes two to three swipes to deposit perfect amount of color on the eyes. Since, this is a shimmery eye shadow, there are a little fallout issues, but they are very less as compared to other shimmery eye shadows from essence. This tiny bit of fallout is easy to wipe off. The shimmers in this eye shadow are not too overpowering and this shade can be used both at day and night time.

Texture: The texture of this eye shadow is soft, smooth and easy to blend. It has a soft velvety and creamy kind of texture. It glides effortlessly on the eyelids and blends like a dream. The color looks nice and does not get patchy. The shimmers in the eye shadow do not budge or transfer and stays at place, which is a plus point as in most of the shimmery eye shadow, the shimmers tend to transfer on the surrounding area. This eye shadow does not have the tendency to crease.

The longevity of the eye shadow is somewhere around 5-6 hours on my eyelids with an eye primer underneath. Overall, I quite like the eye shadows from this range.
