My Experience with Essence Soft Contouring Lipliner 12 Heart of Stone:
The lip liner comes in a pencil form with wooden casing. It has a matching plastic cap to go with it. The color of the pencil/liner is mentioned on the pencil. The cap does not fit tightly to the liner. It gets loose and falls off. I thought it might be just one of them, but later I realized that it was the case with all of them. This makes it totally not travel-friendly.
The color looks dark brown in pencil and also on lips. This color is quite pigmented and it does stand out on my lips too. I have a dusky skin tone, but still it is quite visible. This is not a wearable colour for everyday. I tend to go for reds or nudes for everyday use. There are some days, especially during autumn when I like to go for deep brown or plum. I use this lip liner only then. One can also use it by mixing it with lighter toned lipstick to get different shades.
Since it is wooden pencil based and not retractable, there is wastage of the product every time you sharpen it.
The texture of the lip pencil is not at all great. It has a dry texture and was difficult to work with. One needs to rub in the product for the colour to be seen, which involves a lot of tugging. Since it is so dry, it does not allow the lipstick to bleed.
I tried to use it as a eyebrow filler once and didn’t perform so very great. But, the colour is good for the eyebrows.
Overall, I would say that it is good enough to use it once in a while. This kind of colour is not for everyday use and hence, the consumption is also less. This will last for ever.
