Estee Lauder recently came up with a new line of lipsticks called “Color Love” and I picked up three shades from this collection – Raw Sugar, Shock and Awe, and Rebel Glam. I will be reviewing “Raw Sugar” in this post today 🙂
There are no rules in Love. Color. Create. Customize. Fun, daring lip color with good-for-you ingredients that help smooth lips and renew moisture. In four fashion-forward finishes – Cremes, Chromes and Shimmers have a deliciously balmy texture. Mattes are bold, vibrant, rich and long-lasting, feel weightless. Keep that “just applied” look for hours. Mix, remix, create your look. There’s so many ways to Love.
My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Love Lipstick Raw Sugar:
Pure Color Love lipstick by Estee Lauder comes housed in a transparent case with Estee Lauder engraved on the top. The shade name is printed on the cap itself. The cap has a colour at the top that matches the lipstick itself and that makes it easy to spot this shade from my makeup stash.
I have never really gravitated towards any Estee Lauder lipstick before, but I really wanted to try this range out. “Raw Sugar” is a pretty peachy n*de shade which will look flattering on fair to medium skin tones. This lipstick has a very uniquely-shaped bullet which is supposed to give you precision during application, but honestly, for me, it was tough to apply this lipstick without going out of lines.
In this range of Estee Lauder lipsticks, there are four finishes to choose from and I picked up all matte shades. The matte formula of this lipstick is between MAC’s retro matte and matte formula. It offers straight matte finish but still feels very comfortable on the lips.
There were several people complaining about feathering from these, but I didn’t notice any feathering on my lips. “Color Love” range offers full pigmentation but you need two layers for opaque coverage. Being a matte formula, I do feel it clings on to the dry patches of my lips. It goes on smoothly and does not tug or pull on the lips.
“Raw Sugar” feels comfortable on the lips throughout the day. It also feels very lightweight on the lips, it doesn’t dry out my lips or settle into the fine lines of my lips. It’s not transferproof and will definitely fade away if you eat or drink. One thing I like about this lipstick is that even though “Raw Sugar” is a n*de shade, it does stain my lips and doesn’t make them look flat. It has a very mild scent which doesn’t bother anyone with sensitive noses. I get 4 to 5 hours of staying power from Raw Sugar.
