MAC Retro Lipstick
Hello Everybody,
Here is another MAC review from my side. After seeing Rati’s review about MAC Mocha lipstick here on IMBB, I badly wanted a peachy brown lipstick and so went ahead and tried, but it was way too light for my skin tone. The MUA came to my rescue and asked me to try this shade called “Retro.” On me, it is a subtle version of Mocha. It is a peachy brown shade and suits not-so-fair skin tones very well.
I prefer satin and matte finish lipsticks always and I liked this very much because of the shade and the finish. The satin finish lipsticks are non-drying and very pigmented.
MAC Retro Lipstick:
Colour plus texture for the lips, stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! What made M•A•C famous.
Shade:
MAC describes this as a muted peachy pink brown and it is definitely true.

It comes in the standard black packaging of MAC.

My Experience with MAC Retro Lipstick:
I am very glad that the MUA made me buy this shade. My recent addiction to lipsticks is freaking my husband these days. I was never a lipstick person before. So, this sudden transformation seems not so comfortable for him. He says that he doesn’t like to see me in bold shades. So, I have kept those for special occasions. Then, I made up my mind to wear subtle everyday kind of shades and finally found this one.
It looks peachy on me during daylight and during the night, it goes on the browner side. Well, some people say that Retro is reddish, but I feel it is definitely not that Retro kind. It is a very wearable shade and I am loving it a lot. It is the exact peach that I was looking for. The staying power is very good. I even had lunch wearing this and it just faded lightly.
Pros of MAC Retro Lipstick:
- Wearable everyday kind of shade.
- Very pigmented.
- Non-drying.
- Lasts a long time.
- Permanent line shade.
Cons of MAC Retro Lipstick:
I do not find any cons with this, I am so happy that I am wearing this everyday.

Those who are looking for a peachy-brown shade like Mocha and if it doesn’t suit you, definitely give Retro a try, you will be impressed.

Hi…i received Mac retro shade as a gift from my sis in law. So i was checking reviews on it. Definitely true what u said. A peachy brown warm shade. Wearable everyday. Awesome shade. So much in love with it coz it’s non-drying and longlasting.
