I have recently started venturing into lipsticks, though I was completely a gloss lover earlier. I was looking for good affordable lipsticks and I thought I should try some from Faces Go Chic Lipstick range. I was quite confused about the colors because I didn’t want very bright or perky colors. I was looking for a good pink lipstick, but then, I thought the only other lipstick I have is also pink in color. I was looking for colors at Faces counter and I saw Rich Lilac.  I wasn’t sure about it earlier, but as soon as I swatched it, I couldn’t resist myself from getting this. So, here I am with my second lipstick – Faces Go Chic Lipstick in Rich Lilac. Read on to find out more about it:

My Experience with Faces Go Chic Lipstick – Rich Lilac:

Faces Go Chic lipstick comes in a black, plastic packaging with a silver band mentioning the brand name. It can be easily put into hand bag without worrying about it opening by itself because the cap kind of locks on the case.  Rich Lilac is a very pretty light mauve color with hints of pink. The color is much lighter than what it looks in the bullet.

Rich Lilac isn’t much pigmented and requires two swipes to completely show up on the lips. With a single swipe, the color comes out quite sheer. It isn’t a party wear, bright color, but for a person like me who has just started using lipsticks, it is quite good because of the sheer coverage. It doesn’t stand out brightly on my lips, so it is a perfect daily wear color for me. This color would work great for people for whom purple is quite dark and pink washes them out.

The pigmentation of the lipstick is quite sheer and requires two swipes to completely show up. It glides on easily on the lips and has a smooth, creamy texture. It doesn’t dry out my lips. The staying power of this lipstick isn’t very good. It stays on my lipsticks for about 2 hours. It is easily transferrable, which I don’t like at all. It doesn’t bleed or smudge on lips. It just fades after 2 hours.
