NYX Rouge Cream Blush Red Cheeks Review, Swatch
I have been lusting after NYX cream blushes since a very long time, errr…actually, ever since I came to know about it through IMBB reviews. I am not fond of blushes that have shimmer and shine; matte creamy blushes are what I need. Luckily, Cherry Culture had put up NYX cream blushes on sale and I bought the brightest of them all, “Red Cheeks.” When the blush came, it looked like the prettiest blush ever possible. Fortunately, it didn’t look like scary red in the pan and when I swatched it on hand, it looked more like pinkish red rather than reddish-red!!!!
I referred to Rati’s tutorial on how to apply a cream blush. After seeing the tutorial, I have started using q-tips to pick up the blush instead of finger tips. 🙂

MY TAKE ON NYX ROUGE CREAM BLUSH IN RED CHEEKS:
Though it’s a general perception that cream blushes aren’t for oily skin, personally, I think, this cream blush has suited me. The other perception about colours which would suit dark skinned people is also somewhat different in my case. The earthy toned and brown blushes give me a muddy appearance. Although this appears too bright for dark tones, this blush does not look garish on face. This is a highly pigmented colour and only a little is needed and it is buildable. Red Cheeks looks like healthy pinkish-red in the pan and when it spreads on to the cheeks, it gives a nice pinkish tint. This colour will probably fall last in the line in the pink spectrum and range.
Red Cheeks cream blush is a smooth, creamy formula, which is easily blendable and spreads nicely either with a brush or with finger tips. I usually use my finger tips to apply this blush. There is no shimmer in this. The colour stays on the face for a good 4 hours, which is pretty good I guess. Usually, I apply loose powder or compact after I have applied this blush to set it in. If I want a dewy appearance, I skip the compact part, just apply the blush and leave it like that.
There is a lot of blush in the pan and I think it would last me forever. I am using either q-tips or fingers to take a swipe, so, it may even take decades to get over. Another thing I like is the packaging, it comes in a sturdy black pan with a transparent cap. There is no blush brush, but that’s okay. I do sincerely hope that NYX brand comes to India. I want to try out a lot more from that brand now.

CONS OF NYX ROUGE CREAM BLUSH IN RED CHEEKS:
The biggest and only con is that it is not easily available in India, ordering it online is the option for many of us.
WILL I BUY IT AGAIN: Yes, the other shades now, this one is going to last me a lifetime.
IMBB STAR RATING: 4/5……-1 for non-availability in India (though some cities do have NYX counters).
