Faces cosmetics recently launched the “Glam On Moisture Rich” range of lipsticks, comprising 12 shades, designed for each Zodiac sign. I looked at the colors online and felt that “Praline 65,” which actually was for my Zodiac sign would suit me. A couple of online videos showed the shades and I felt that this color was a pretty terracotta brown. When I went to the mall and swatched it, I was so disappointed as it was a shiny coral shade. Honestly, I once again realized how IMBB had made us choose products without hassle with true swatches, lip close-ups and complete reviews. Now that I shared my little story, here is the review of the lipstick that I finally picked up under the IMBB Sponsored Scheme.

My Experience with Faces Glam On Moisture Rich Lipstick Cranberry Cream:

Packaging: The packaging screams ‘look at me’! It is super luxurious for a drugstore brand. The shiny black case with gold detailing looks regal and needs to be fit properly for the perfect click. The golden font on the lipstick looks cute. Shade name and number are written on the base of the tube and the cardboard case. The bullet twists up easily and the retractable mechanism is smooth. The cardboard case itself looks classy and overall I totally heart this glamorous “Glam On” lipstick’s packaging.

Color: The color is a beautiful rosy-mauve shade. In terms of the color, there is nothing very new. This color is created by almost every brand, as this is a universally-flattering and a very wearable color. From college goers to elderly ladies, this color can be pulled off by anyone, regardless of skin tone. It has a sheen to it, which gives the lips a fresh and hydrated look.

Pigmentation: It deposits 80% of the color in a single stroke. In two coats, the rich opaque color can be seen. Good pigmentation for this kind of shade.

Texture: It is a full-on creamy finish lipstick and feels very nourishing and hydrating on the lips. It glides like butter and gives a smooth finish, with a plump look.

Staying Power: Being creamy, it transfers and bleeds. You need to apply a lip liner for precise application as the formula smears a little on the edges. It transfers to straws and cutlery, so you can expect your lipstick to vanish with the lightest of snacks. Without eating or drinking, I get 4 hours of wear time. It’s easy to reapply this lipstick and you do not need to completely remove the existing layer before reapplying. Faces has not claimed longevity for these lipsticks and has focused on the moisturizing aspect, which it definitely lives up to. I am reaching out for this shade too often, as it doesn’t need any proper makeup to pair with and can be worn day or night. I do not need to prep my lips too much and it reduces my need of carrying a lip balm.
