Glenmark Bontress Hair Serum Review

Don’t you love products that do wonders for your skin or nails? I feel very blessed when I start using a product and within a few days, it shows results far better than expected. I was suffering from bad hair fall for the last two years. My hair became so thin that I had to chop off my long tresses to shoulder length. Also, my hair became dry, rough and lifeless; added to that, dandruff issue made things worse. I tried a lot of expensive shampoos, serums, masks that were available in the market. And when everything failed, I decided to give my dermatologist a visit. He recommended this serum along with minoxidyl solution, anti-dandruff shampoo 8X and some vitamin B7 tablet. He promised that my issues would be solved if I use it regularly for 3 months. This product today was suggested by him and has helped my hair a lot. Read on to know how it works. My Experience with Glenmark Bontress Hair Serum:

The product comes packed in a paper box with all ingredients and usage instructions listed on it. Inside the box, you will find a plastic bottle containing the product, a spray applicator and a leaflet. So basically you need to break the seal of the bottle and fit in the applicator. The plastic bottle is not very heavy. The pump is covered with a transparent plastic cap which shuts with a click, so you can carry it wherever you want to. The pump works fine too. Before throwing away the leaflet, please do go through the instructions. There are a few things you must follow to get the optimum result.

This is a completely transparent, watery serum. As it is pumped out, a little froth can be seen at times. The product is absolutely lightweight. It is not oily or sticky. It may feel a little heavy. You can apply it and go to work without worrying at all. However, as it is applied on the scalp every day, the scalp feels a little dirty after 2-3 days. It is easily manageable if you shampoo your hair twice a week. It has a very mild sweet fragrance that lingers on for some time. It is too mild to give you a headache.

This is one of the best hair care products that I have ever used. Within a week, I saw drastic reduction in hair fall. It was like 500 strands a day before and then it went down to 30. The hair felt totally soft. I have mentioned before how rough and lifeless my hair had been earlier, but now, it is shiny and silky again. Even the ends feel smooth and soft. This product has to be used on the scalp and not all over the hair, so probably it nourishes the roots and follicles in a way that the hair becomes healthier and softer. Also, both minoxidyl and 8X shampoo are known for making hair rough and scalp dry, but I didn’t experience any such issues as I used this serum along with them. I asked my mom to check and she noticed multiple new baby hairs on my scalp. Overall, this serum is a savior if you are stressed out about hair loss.

To note is one important fact that I am using this serum along with one more hair care product and two supplements to take care of the hair loss, but I am sure that if someone uses only this to treat hair fall, even then there would be good results visible.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Glenmark Bontress Hair Serum?
It is a wonder product. If you have severe hair fall, it is a product to try, but I think you should consult a dermatologist or at least your general physician before using it. I won’t use it after completing my 3 months course though.
