Gucci Envy For Men 3.4 Oz Perfume Review

Gucci Envy For Men 3.4 Oz Perfume Review

Hello lovelies, hope we all are enjoying the rains. 🙂 chai -pakoda and barish, wah wah! Lol!!!!

Gucci For Men

Reviewing something which belongs to my dad and I see it everyday sitting on the dresser and damn, I had to pick this up to review it. My dad is not so much a perfume person, but he gets some in presents and he finishes them obediently, lol. He is a darling when it comes to listening to me and wearing the clothes, shoes and perfumes I want him to. Well, I think so is the case with most of you daughters out there, isnt’t it?

My dad uses this perfume once in a while, going out kinds. It’s in his fancy wear once in a while kind of smell. Somewhere between familiar and sexy is Tom Ford’s first men’s fragrance for Gucci, Gucci Envy for Men. This 1998 instant classic features opoponax, incense, patchouli, amber, musk, cedar, cardamom, anise, coriander, ginger, nutmeg and pimento.

Envy for Men is a fragrance that is in a form of a green liquid. It is being contained in a square bottle with a large black plastic cap. The words Envy for Men are entrenched to the bottle, which is in silver text color. It is available in eau de toilette spray at 100 ml or 3.4 oz size.

It opens up to a very strong ginger note, which settles down to a vey musk and amber note in about 1 hour’s time. Also, depends on the time of the season you wear it in. It needs to be dabbed a tad, but more for winters like here in north India.

It is a very decent smell, very masculine provided your body chemistry doesn’t mess it up. As mentioned before in a lot of perfume articles, the perfumes final result is totally up to your body smell.

About the lasting power, I would say it lasts well over 7 hours on any type of skin. It excels like Chanel in this department. Gucci Envy has a sweet yet inviting fragrance, something little sexy and more warm on a man.

For the availability, Gucci Envy (yes, are you all jealous?) was launched in 1998 and has been selling well since then and is like to Envy is that to Gucci what Obsession is to Calvin Klein.

You have a 3.4 oz bottle available and a 1.7 oz one. If you are unsure what to gift any male for a perfume, this is a very standard fragrance, could be liked by one and all.

The thing about envy is that it is nothing dramatic. This is just plain good, something like Eternity by Calvin Klein. You do not have to fuss a lot with this one.

Price:

The 3.4 oz bottle retails for somewhere near 90 dollars and 43 for the 1.7 oz.

Pros of Gucci Envy For Men Perfume:

• Staying power is 7 hours plus and once you buy it, it’s an investment.
• Good everyday perfume. This might as well turn HG for some men. My dad just doesn’t wear perfume that often to make any his HG.
• When I read about this perfume online, this has a rating of 3.8 and above from most users.
• A 3.4 oz bottle would last you well over 6 months used everyday.
• Available almost at every Gucci boutique.
• I personally love this smell on my dad. It blends with his skin and the initial ginger fades away. It just leaves him smelling very manly, very dad like, lol. Just very masculine and nothing overpowering like the deodorants worn by most young boys these days.

Cons of Gucci Envy Perfume For Men:

• The price and availability. Nearly 100 dollars is not decent enough for a perfume bottle.

IMBB Rating:

My rating of 4.1 on 5, as I love this on pa!!

Hugs and smiles,

Fly Girl.
